DENNIS DEYOUNG LIVE VOLUME#2

Postby yogi » Sat Nov 15, 2003 3:13 am

I really cant wait to get my copy of Dennis's New Double CD. What I am really hoping for is SOME day a release of his and Styx's other GREAT GREAT songs. I would LOVE to hear Dennis's live versions of:
1. Born For Adventure
2. This Old Man
3. Ballerina
4. Golden Lark
5. Unfinished Song
6. What Has Come Between Us
7. Queen Of Spades
8. I'm OK
9. Pieces Of Eight
10. Borrowed Time
11. First Time
12. Love At First Sight
13. Carrie Ann
14. Goodbye Roseland
15. While Theres Still Time
16. Paradise
17. Wont Go Wasted
18. Unanswered Prayers
19. Outside Looking In
20. Dont Wait For Heros
Dont get me wrong I cant wait for his new CD to arrive. Still I wish somewhere one day he would play and record a concert with these songs for his die-hard fans. We have heard the hits sooooo many times. Id love to hear some of the other GREAT less played songs sung live. Also, I'm not waiting for WTTW to deliver. I ordered Dennis's new CD two days ago off of Dennis's website. Maybe if the response to his CD is good, Dennis may jump back into the rock and roll game a little more.

I'd get in line for that one too.......I won't hold my breath waiting for it though. That might be a pretty good set list for a "Dennis DeYoung Unplugged" episode.

Couldn't have posted a better live set Yogi, if I had wanted to. Other artists have done some box sets and double CDs of the "hits" and then the (for a lack of better words) "b sides". Love to see the band at least get back together and do a wicked box set of rarities and out takes, rare live recordings....etc. Never know it might rekindle some of the old magic.

Lord, that would sure beat the hell out of releasing the hits over an over....the trick would be getting them all to agree on anything, or to even be in the same room.

Maybe once they see The Beatles "Let It Be - Naked" go gold, they'll give it a little consideration....

Cannot wait to get Let it be naked classic. This started out to be the Beatles as they once were, raw and unproduced, so what did John Lennon do....bring in Phil "lets throw in the kitchen sink" Spector. Can't blame uncle Paul for hating that version of long and winding road. Anybody that saw his last tour and heard that song live as one of his four encores would agree. Waiting like the rest of you for DDY's new CD in the mail...rock on Beatles...rock on STYX...rock on Dennis! Phil Spector you suck!
