[size=14]I freakin' LOVE Olympic Hockey but I've really been looking
forward to these games...

Jagr was quoted in the Vancouver Sun as saying this is the first year where he doesn't feel like a star.

Also, in addition to Jagr, we get to see Petr Forsberg again for Sweden.

Yea, it's gonna be cool seeing Forsberg again as well.
I don't know about Forsberg, but I have a feeling Jagr will be
back in the NHL next year so a lot of scouts will be watching him.
He's gonna wind up somewhere like Edmonton or Chicago
where he won't have to be the Go-To-Guy every night but
will still be a star...

Carlitto, you do know Edmonton has NO money, and has the worst record in the league right? That club is in rebuilding mode. A team like NJ, VAN, BUF or like you said a CHI could take a flier on Jagr. A team close to what it takes to win it all but just needs another scorer.

Absolutely. I always fall apart trying to follow what goes on with Olympic hockey... the stuff they televise in prime time is the skating, skiing and all that and the hockey is always on other channels and I forget to check the schedule, so I end up with just the results....lol!! So I need a place to follow everything at once.

I don't think Canada will get gold. Too much fucking pressure. I see the front 6 of the Russians lighting up Brodeur and winning gold. Currently Brodeur and Luongo are getting lit up and were both pulled from their last game. Ovechkin might just set an Olympic record for points and goals. He has teammate Semin with him as well as Malkin. Man, tha is as good as the Forsberg/Sedin/Sedin line and almost as good as the Crosby line.
Sweden over Finland for the bronze.

I think the Russians will upset Canada for the gold. When you have a starting offensive line of Ovechkin, Kovalchuk, and Malkin, who needs goaltending? I don't think even Brodeur can compete against that.

Slovakia, with a solid though not spectacular lineup, beats out USA for Bronze. USA probably has one of the strongest goaltending lineups, but I just don't think they'll score enough goals.
