Being opportunistic is not a smart idea, What did he think he was going to do other than ruin a legacy?
Any singer who fills in for another like Pineda and Hanson or the goof in Yes should all look in the mirror and say is this really a good idea to be copying someone else. If I was asked to copycat I would say not interested But no Gowan puts on his puppet hat and runs to his job , For 12 years the guy has done the exact same thing show after show, Tommy Shaw loves it because A he knows Gowan makes him look great compared to how Dennis blew him away and B Shaw loves how he butchers Dennis's songs.

While I am not a fan of this current version of Styx and do not prefer to hear LG perform songs that DDY was responsible for, I know that he has no control over the major direction of Styx. It's been so long since the split that I think that you need to move on. Anything you say or do is not going to change anything. If you like what DDY brought to the table for Styx then go see him, he seems to be over the whole thing and I am sure is happy doing what he does now.
