What the heck happened to the vocals? The horns were as tight as ever. I love, love, love Chicago, but that was almost painful... :?

yeah, he couldn't hit the notes. The AI guy, thank God, was there, but he even went flat a few times.

I miss Paula too.

Where was David Cook tonight? He's the only winner that wasn't on, or did I miss something?

You know, I was counting the past winners on stage, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out who was missing...

I noticed that right away (because he's probably my favorite of all the winners). Maybe on tour or something?

I don't think Cook's on tour, I'm sure it will be in the news tonight why he wasn't there.

Also disappointed that Daughtry and Lambert weren't there.

daughtry's on tour and wasn't a winner.

Chicago blows. Ugh. Nothing like a trombone solo to make a song suck.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I know he didn't win, I was hoping that he would've been there. I do like him :)

I didn't care for Chicago or Joe Cocker tonight, not at all. Okay, that's something you don't hear everyday, a "Trombone Solo" - LOL That just sounds so funny!!!

I thought the golf charity event was yesterday. Maybe he didn't commit since he couldn't rehearse yesterday.

I do think he was very emotional and that affected his performance - he's much better than that. But to me he's still too much like (or trying to be) Daughtry and Cook. I liked Crystal because she's so different (loved her singing with Joe Cocker tonight!), and even Casey had something a little different. Oh well - said it before - I'll buy the records I want, doesn't matter who wins.

Hey! There ain't nothin' wrong with a little trombone solo...in context. For Chicago, it works just fine. That's how they roll.

Another lame winner, that should make the final nails go in a lot easier next year.

Since when did the vocal prowess of Bono become the standard for aspiring vocalists? Has the bar really been set that low?
Bono is about stage presence, writing and charisma. If U2 relied soley onn his vocals, they would all be working in a pub somewhere in Ireland right now.

My favorite performance of the night (well, maybe Christina's was - have to look for that one). Casey & Bret:

I think Casey should have won. I love his voice and he has a gorgeous look.

Christina's first for me, then Casey & Bret: Or maybe both equal. They were different but great.

I wouldn't think they would be, they have already performed on AI this season.

It's hard to believe that Daryl Hall is two years older than Ross Valory.

I beleive everything is done for a purpose on these shows. I wouldn't be surpised if Chicago or Hall & Oates get at least a token nomination from the R&R HOF this year.

I think Casey should have won. I love the tone of his voice, plays guitar. Love his curly hair and stunning eyes. I think with the right songs he could have a hit record. Lee looks generic and sounds like other winners or runner-ups.
