Froy, you and the chicken man are both crazy.

Styx is a band. Thats all they are. Yes it is a band that all of us here really like and we feel we have some ties to... but still they are just a band.

It is their JOB to do what they do. To carry on how they want to. To choose who they hang out with, what jobs to take and what songs to record & perform. This JOB is what has fed and clothed their families and given their kids their educations. To them it is much like the job you now have.

Do you get this emotional about your favorite janitors, lunch ladies, meter readers etc?????

Grow up!!!

If Shaw is "half dead" then why do you want a reunion so bad? Next year, right?

That was formed by Dennis DeYoung yea I know,

Twin brothers Chuck and John Panozzo first got together with their neighbor Dennis DeYoung in 1961 in the Roseland section of the south side of Chicago, eventually taking the band name "The Tradewinds". Chuck Panozzo left to attend seminary school for a year but returned to the group by 1964. Tom Nardini was brought in to teach Chuck the guitar. Chuck decided to play bass guitar for the band. John Panozzo was the drummer, while Dennis DeYoung had switched from accordion to organ and piano. In 1965, the name "Tradewinds" was changed to TW4 after another band called The Trade Winds broke through nationally. By 1966, the Panozzo brothers had joined DeYoung at Chicago State University and kept the group together doing gigs at high schools and frat parties while studying to be teachers. In 1969, they added a college buddy, John Curulewski, on guitar after Tom Nardini departed. Guitarist James "J.Y." Young came aboard in 1970 making TW4 a quintet.

In 1974, the band members decided to choose a new name when they signed to Wooden Nickel Records; several suggestions were made and, says DeYoung, Styx was chosen because it was "the only one that none of us hated"

That was formed by Dennis DeYoung yea I know,

Growing up in the Roseland neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, DeYoung's career as a vocalist started in 1961 at the age of 14 when he teamed up with his 13 year old neighbors, Chuck and John Panozzo, in a three-piece combo. The trio later added guitarist James Young and John Curulewski to form the band Tradewinds in the late 1960s. The band renamed itself TW4 in 1968 before becoming Styx in 1970.

Get lost you troll.

Troll

Noun
A member of an internet forum who continually harangues and harasses others. Someone with nothing worthwhile to add to a certain conversation, but rather continually threadjacks or changes the subject, as well as thinks every member of the forum is talking about them and only them. Trolls often go by multiple names to circumvent getting banned.

This thread was about the video I posted until you jumped in Froy. You,re starting to look like a troll.

I think it can be said that the formation of the band can be spread equally among all three of them. Since The Tradewinds became TW4 and TW4 became Styx.

Exactly but froy seems to think that dennis was the one that formed the band all by himself. Which in fact is not true.

Tom Petty is horrific if you like the guy than I feel sorry for you, Bruce Springsteen is horrific and Billy Joel finishes off the list.
These 3 goofs will NEVER be played on my radio station,
Add Gowan to this 3 pack and you have the 4 worst singers in the business
As far as the Crystal Ball 3D tour YES I invented it my head. It would have been a great way for a reunion with Dennis, Now I can careless about any reunion with Tommy Shaw and James Young.
If they release that regurgitation cd I will be done with STYX forever. The legacy will have been ruined.
No reunion will be needed, The sell out will be complete,
