Dave Winfield & Paul Molitor at the same time.

One of my summer league coaches ( Bill Peterson) had coached both of them when they were young. During the All Star break early on in their careers they came home( MN) and came out to one of our practices. I dont remember if Paul hit or not but when Dave Winfield hit we went outside of Dunning field to the softball field that was located beyond the left field fence. We then tried to catchthe blasts that Dave was hitting. They had to be easily traveling 400plus feet.

I now have his, Tommy Shaw's, Ricky Phillips's, Kevin Cronin's and Bruce Hall's .

I'm not into autographs, they just aren't a big deal to me, but after talking to John Panozzo for about 20 minutes before a Styx show he asked me for my ticket stub and signed it for me. The autograph is not important to me, but the time talking to him and getting to see how cool he was did mean a lot to me.

I fall pretty much in this category. I have had opportunities to get autographs and have just not been that interested. If something is meaningful to me, like an album cover, CD insert, program, or a book, I may ask, but I try not to have it be the cause of a problem if I do ask.

The 1976 Philadelphia Phillies.
I had burst my appendix and was laid up in the hospital for six weeks as my body tried to recover from flooding itself with poison. My dad's boss got in touch with Harry Kalas (The golden throated guy you have probably heard narrating NFL films over the decades, before he passed away last year). Harry had the whole team sign a gameball for me. My mom has it still sitting on the mantle in our house to this day.

Babyblue, I was quoting a Styx song, but I should have known no one would know "Little Suzie". :P

My Mom was a huge Elvis fan, and I find as I get older, I find more of an appreciation for his songs. I tend to lean more towards people who write their own material(correct me if I'm wrong, he might have written some of it), but the guy was one hell of a performer. Who wouldn't have wanted to be Elvis in his prime.

I think my very first autographs, non-Styx, was a few of the Milwaukee Brewers players, early 80's.

First Styx autographs, Dennis and JY early 90's.

I take pictures now instead of autographs :)

My first was Herschel Walker, but of course he grew up about 5 miles from me so had to have that one :). Just recently I got Mark Richt. A few years ago I got one from Sonny Shroyer (Enos from the Dukes of Hazzard).
