oh, I thought you meant you'd seen them a few weeks ago. My bad. Enjoy! So jealous of anyone who isn't stuck living in the States right now.

Not looking hopeful that I'm going to make the tour and fulfill one of my life's great ambtions (i.e. seeing Paich!) but I'm still pleased to have caught them 7 times in their last few years of continued existence:

TTLG tour - Noumea, New Caledonia (2 nights - 2003)
FIB tour - Both Oz dates (2006)
FIB Live tour - Auckland, NZ and Brisbane/Melbourne in Oz (2008)

The meet and greet after the 2006 Melbourne gig will forever remain one of my greatest memories (and my Mum's - Luke sang her 'Happy Birthday' FFS! )

I have never seen them live, but I hear it's quite wonderful!! My favorite vocalist is Joseph Williams, but Bobby Kimball is also one of a kind!! Can't replace him, and because I don't think Joseph tries to that may be why I tend to like his ability. "Only the Children", was great as well as "Farenheit", and "Thousand Years", wonderful band!!

P.S. Is a band with a lead singer, better than a band where everybody plays an instrument, just curious about different opinions? 8)

July 4th 2008 - Cincinnati, OH FIB tour

What a KILLER show. Short set though...bummer.

Bobby sang well. Luke was a BEAST!

2005 in Toronto at Casino Rama
2007 at Trocoderos in Minneapolis

Both were awesome but loved 2007 more. Cool seeing this kind of band in a big club vs. stuffy casino theater. Plus Fergie Frederikson made an appearance and sang on four or five tunes.

Three:

6/11/93 Chestnut Cabaret Philadelphia, PA
7/10/99 Atlantic City Hilton
7/1/06 Penn's Peak Jim Thorpe, PA

In 1993 Luke was the main singer, helped out by back-up singers John James, Jenny Douglas-McRae & Donna McDaniel who would take a lead vocal here or there.

Bobby was back my 1999 and 2006 shows.

I flew out to Long Beach for a March 2005 show, with both Paich AND Phillinganes playing keys. Saw them in Milwaukee in 2006, flew out to the Wiltern in L.A. that fall, then they miraculously did TWO shows at the wretched House Of Blues in Chicago (one in '06 with Mike P and one in 2007 with Sklar).

Unfortunately my days of having the cash to fly around for shows is pretty much over, but it was fun while it lasted.

There isn't anything better than taking a trip to see a show you so badly want to see.

I saw them in Minnesota at the Moon Dance Festival....
2 Times at The Chicago HOB....
And a few others....
