Live With Symphony Orchestra

Postby BlackWall » Tue Jun 15, 2010 4:20 pm

Does anyone out there happen to know if the track listing on DDY's orchestra CD is in the same order as the actual concert was? If not, can anyone give me the correct order for that show?
Also, were any songs omitted?

Thanks for any help.

Thank you Babyblue.
For instance, I was thinking that "Desert Moon" came much earlier in the set. I was also thinking there might have been a couple of other "Hunchback" songs.

There are 2 versions of the DVD. US and Canadian. The canadian version has Suite Madame Blue and Show Me the way as bonus songs, but they are not sequenced into the concert footage.

NH, I think the OP was asking about the CD. The DVD was the Soundstage show. The CD was recorded at the Chicago Theater. The only person I know who was at that show does not post here anymore -- Sadie. She may read and respond.

I think the Double Live CD had some changes as to the order they were played and, of course, some songs were left off, maybe? Not sure about that.

I do remember how many of us DDY fans were waiting for this live album to come out, and that it had some post-production problems, so it was delayed. It came fresh out of the boxes at the Milwaukee show, which was my first DDY show, memorable for MANY reasons. I bought it and got it signed, which was a real treat, for sure.

Hey, I was at that show too (with Sadie) - the Chicago one :) I have the setlist and pictures somewhere. There were 2 other people from the MR board that were there that don't post anymore.

I was at the Chicago Theatre show and I am trying to remember what else was played that night. I believe Dennis did "Summertime" or "Pilate's Dream" off his 10 on Broadway album. I don't think there was much else omitted from the cd. I remember seeing "My God, Can Beat Up Your God" played live, but I dont think it was at this show.

Whoops! :D I forgot you went to that one, Suite. (That's what happens when you get old!!) And I think Vanish is right. He performed Summertime at that show.

It would be cool to see the setlist for this one to compare to the live CD.

He did "Summertime" when I saw him back in '02 in Kettering, OH. That was my first time seeing him, and shaping to be a great, great show, but then it started pouring during the intermission.. and the show was over with "Don't Let It End". :x

If anyone does have a setlist from the Chicago show, please share!
