What if-Tommy Shaw's

Postby Abitaman » Mon Jul 26, 2010 6:47 am

Was wondering if anyone out there had either the orginal or or rerelease of What If , they would send me. I will send you a pick of your choice from my list. It can be a cd or download. Went to play mine today and would not play past the 3rd song, would not rip past the 4th (took an hour to do that). And what I ripped to put on another disk sounded horrible (worse than the orginal :D ). But if any one can I send yours first. But since What if can not be bought new or is on any music services I don't mind asking for help here.

Probably a boot, but may be worth it for $20.

If it was for any other cd, I would. But What If is not a good cd. I have the tape somewhere still and the record. I have both a tape player and record player. Just need to hardware and softeware for windows 7, to be able to put in on the computer to burn to cd. I'll pay money for that!!! Just ahrd to take a record on the road with you, skips too much :o

Did you see the What If cd for $799.99?!? What kind of crack is that guy on?

Well, it's the 32XB pressing which is rare and it's complete with the OBI. It's worth a few shekels, but not $800. I have it without the OBI. I have a number in my head I'd pay for it complete, but it ain't $800 ...

Didn't Water Dog release this a few years ago? I did find GWG on Amazon as a Universal release last Christmas for 9 bucks. Wonder if What If is in the plans.

It was released, with a slight track rearrangement if I am not mistaken.

No release for WI is planned as far as I know. The reissue of WI on JY's label came out in 1996. So it's been out of print for nearly 15 years in any form.

It was on Rhaposdy for a while, then one day it was gone. Should have bought it then for a back up.

I would keep an eye on eBay. I do see this pop up on there more then I would expect it to. Most of the time it's the re-release from '96. The prices vary greatly but I have seen them very reasonable.

I have it on vinyl, cassette and CD; how is it possible that I bought it three times? Go figure - I'd share a copy if I knew how... I haven't yet been able to manage anything more complicated than ripping a cd to put it on my iPod..

If you do not mind a CD-R copy of What If, I can burn you an exact copy of the re-released CD version that came out in '96.
