So.....taking a break from the bickering.....

Who, of the regulars out here, do you think is the most (1) knowledgeable AND (2) unbiased as it pertains to Styx, their history, and their quality (music, concerts, etc.). Passionate, repetitive themes of posts does not infer either, and if you vote for yourself, you likely aren't being truthful about #2.

Just curious, because I thought I knew pretty much (been a fan a long time), but I've learned quite a bit out here, if even half of the information posted is true. And frankly, I simply couldn't come up w/anything more intelligent this evening. What can I say, I'm beat. Time to crash in front of the Phillies game.

Have a day all.

Have a day too buddy.
Froy and topher are definately the most knowledgable and unbiased around here.
They always show things from any perspective and show class and manners that are unsurpassed,
and we could all learn a ton from them.
Hip hip for the lads.

When judging or commenting on a form art which music is, I think it's hard to say anyone can be unbiased.

Whatever color his lovely wife Suzzane buys for him.

DDY has been colorblind since 1999 which actually coincides with the release of the hideous artwork on the cover of Brave New World. Since that time all color choices have been left up to Suzzane, Matthew, Carrie Ann and DDY's inner circle.

Most excellent yogi,
but alas,it was a trick question, and a 2 part trick question at that.
You forgot the time before Dennis became colourblind, and that was ofcourse......Cumquat.!
Nice job yogi.

OK here goes another one.

Dennis wrote 2 Styx songs, that when you read the lyrics, they will/should/might creep you out.
They may be about hanky panky with younger ladies.
I will give you a hint.Tommy may have written a song like that about his daughter Hannah.
What are those 2 songs called that Dennis wrote.?

A tough one yogi, but I hope you will get full points this round.

There is far more than 2 my friend.

You can start with The Grove or The Serpent you can then progress to Jennifer or Lonely Child. It is also a little known fact that Dennis wrote the song Great Expectations soon after watching the Seinfield episode master of my domain.

My favorite Lyrics come from a Tommy Shaw epic performance

"Then the radio announcer tells us that this has been a test

I never heard the rest I always changed the station

And this is not a test --- No video effect

And this is not a test you can ignore

Weve not been here before

Lets hear it for the war"

What the crap was this??????

The only thing more twisted is that I purchased 'What If' as a cassette, a record and a CD. I have this song and all the other garbage on this album in 3 different formats.

P.s. Nature Of The Beast is a VERY good song!

To be honest, I really like This Is Not A Test musically until the end explosion. That drips of cheese. It's got a catchy tune. But yeah, the lyrics are dumb as hell. Nature of the Beast best song on the album.
