It went by so fast! It looked liked they were just going through the motions but being this was their fourth show in four days you can't blame them as i'm sure they were more worried about getting home and spending time with family. Anyway a light rain poured on everyone that was on the track infront of the stage so it was funny to see that being as i was in the grandstand dry . BTW they're not doing the 15 minute version of renegade anymore probably due to the upcoming fall tour. One more thing regeneration: $15 bucks the $30 is for the autographed version (as i said all along). So here is the setlist (not in order) for those interested again it was an awesome show as always.

Borrowed time medley
grand illusion
blue collar man
too much time
high enough
suite madame blue
lorelei
lady
walrus

I'm a little confused on your review of this show. First you say "it looked like they were just going through the motions" Then you say it was an "awesome show as always". How can it be awesome if they are just going through the motions? Just curious.

Sheesh, You have to read her FB again, she said a man threw his CANE at Tommy when he was singing "High Enough". Tommy got pissed, saying a few things at him - as would anyone getting something thrown at them. Security went into the pit area and found the item, the guy didn't know it snuck into the section trying to find it, he went back to his area and then threw a few more things at him (Tommy). Security came and escorted him out and then the VIP applaused.

I thought for sure it would've been Everett wearing a Dennis DeYoung shirt swearing at Tommy while he was singing "High Enough" because he didn't like the song and then Ricky chasing him after the show - LOL I'm just kidding!

What a lethargic set list. I would go to the upcoming PO8/GI show, but this set - they can keep it. Did they play for a whole hour? Any why High Enough? Not enough confidence in their own catalogue, or is it because it would require use of more DDY penned songs? I'm sure listening to Gowan mangle Lady, Suite Madame Blue, & CSA, and JY do the same to Lorelei (or is Gowan killing this one now too?), was worth it. And Walrus - UUGH. A short, mediocre set list, and two of them weren't even theirs. JY has made some good contributions on PT and Kilroy - why wouldn't they use one or two of them?

Not sure what you paid for this, but man, when I saw the Eagles (Long Road Out of Eden) last summer, they did over 3 hours of music, including 6 or 7 from their new album, and practically every known hit (including some solo Henley, Frey, and Walsh). THAT was a great show.

Sounds like another satisfied customer at a Touring Styx show.

It was at the Sheboygan County Fair. Tickets in the Grandstand were $20, VIP tickets were more.

Well....I guess that takes the sting out a little. I certainly paid way more than that for the Eagles show (which played to >20K @ the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia), but I was also on the floor.

If I had paid to hear Styx, and heard High Enough or Doctor, I'd probably have thrown something too, if not a few expletives.

Well i was all the way in the grandstand and i didn't see any of that, it also didn't help having a jackass standing up infront of me every 5 minutes and three b*tches getting up and leaving/coming back every 10 minutes. BTW laurie you know if it were me i would've tackled that guy for throwing the cane. Besides i like high enough anyway 8)

I saw Styx a few years back outside of San Diego and I called out how Tommy just wasn't into that night; only time I've ever seen a show like that where a band member really looked like he wanted to be anywhere BUT there. Needless to say, it wasn't the best Styx show I've ever seen. I have to agree with Boomchild - you can't be going through the motions yet have it still be awesome. That is not to say things were not executed well or notes played badly, but I would guess it was more lackluster than anything else.

EDIT: And for the record, everyone's allowed an off night. Hard to avoid when you're on the road that much.

Definitely not a cool move. No one deserves that. I've seen a few videos from this Rush tour where Alex is asking the fans near him to stop shenanigans. It's pretty amazing ...

I sat in the front row in from of Alex once a couple of years ago, I was copying all of the funny faces he makes while playing, trying to make him laugh.

There once was a time when we passed joints to one another. If the joint went up on stage Tommy and the others would have happily took a hit. What has become of US???

How damn old are we when our favorite band has its fans tossing a cane at its lead singer.

A fuck ing cane!!!

DAMN are we old!!!

It's almost time to end this madness when canes are getting toosed up on stage!!!
