So here is a question. What happens if Tommy gets a hit off this project? With the recent move by many "rock" artists to release a country record or song (Kidd Rock, Darius Rucker, Robert Plant, just to name a few) the idea is not completly off the wall. Does STYX take a break for him to tour behind the record - Tommy on tour opening for a major country act would be appealing to a lot of booking agents, he could do the new bluegrass stuff and throw in a few of his STYX hits to fill out the set (not to mention the paycheck as the opener for a major country arena tour would probably match or be more than the current STYX paycheck).

I'm sure JY is hoping that he doesn't have a lot of success with this project. If he leaves the band to pursue more solo work, then it's curtains for JY.

ok first of all stop trying to make jy seem like some evil man trying to squeeze money out of dennis and tommy's hard work. Styx is a band, was a band, and will continue to be a band. They love playing and that's what they do.

I didn't say he squeezed money out of anyone. However, it's not hard to see that JY benefited from the efforts of TS and DDY being in the band. If you think that Styx would have become what it was without TS or DDY your crazy. JY has contributed some great guitar work but that didn't make Styx what it was. Without Tommy in Styx nobody would take them seriously.

He should have had the balls to tell DDY he wouldn't agree to the concept at all. I would like to know exactly how you think DDY forced him to do it. I guess DDY sat Tommy down and stood over him until he wrote them, right? For whatever reason Tommy went along with the concept which means he made a choice. He regrets it but he made the choice, otherwise he could have have just sat back and contributed nothing.
