David I agree totally with what you are saying, but on the other hand I can't blame a person defending himself either.

Defending himself against what?

If he has something he's trying to defend himself against, then he should just say it, instead of always posting stuff about "Now the truth will be revealed!" and then not actually telling us anything. Stuff like that just incites more gossip and leads to more rumors, taking everyone even further from the truth. Look how long we speculated over his previous post, and we STILL don't really know what/who he was talking about.

But this latest post is a good one-- it's a good look behind the scenes at what goes on. I hope his blog continues to be like this, and I hope writing these sorts of things inspires him to want to write more music.

For one, some of the bullshit on this board. Like he's a liar etc. Gimme a break here.

LOL. So I've been told. I don't have any issue with people stating their opinions, but why question why FS would do the same? If we are honest here, he has been worked over on this board many times by many. Some more than others. So if he wants to use a venue to set the record straight it makes perfect sense to me.

But I thought he wouldn't ever DEIGN to read here. You have KILLED me in the past for suggesting he may peak at this place from time to time inferring that he has far bigger fish to fry.

That was some time ago Red. I think I may have been wrong. In the mean time. I'm glad to see you again RED. I enjoyed the back and forth. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if FS looks here, afterall JV does post here too (which is appreciated). Clearly Peterik and Jamison minions post here as well.

But that's my point-- If he wants to set the record straight, then he should do it. Instead, what he often did (even back on Survivormusic.com) was just post vague rants about how there are a lot of lies out there and how he was going to set the record straight. Ok, but when?

Wouldn't it make more sense to be specific? If he just said, "Hey, I'm sure a lot of you probably heard a rumor about (whatever), well, let me set the record straight right now. Here's what really happened....." and then he could proceed to tell us whatever he thinks we ought to know. THAT would be a worthwhile post and an interesting read for all of us.
Oh well, whatever. Honestly, I don't really care much about who did what to whom in the band. I think the only reason we're paying any attention to any of that is because there's nothing else going on. Release some new music, and we can put all the gossip to rest.

We all communicate in different ways. Some of us in "code". We may not get what FS is saying but perhaps his intended audience gets the message loud and clear. Does that make sense. I, like you, really don't give a rats anymore about who did what to who. All I want is some friggin' new music. Would it be nice to debate music? Now that would be refreshing on this board!

David....sullivan was ranting about Jim Peterik because rock candy has re-issued a couple of the earlier albums and only interviewed jim for them and excluded sullivan from the whole process

Red.....Wow looks like I've been relegated to a Peterik/Jamison..."minnon" now...lol

Yup. It was almost as entertaining as that Jimi Jamison interview on this site, where he talked about how badly "Reach" sucked, and how Frankie ruins shows with his endless guitar solos. There's just something entertaining about watching people get pissed off at each other, I guess.

Very true, only FS didn't call anyone out by name but we got the gist. However there is nothing as entertaining as new music!

Or how about new songs that tell us how pissed off they are with each other? Then we get the best of both worlds. THAT could be really entertaining! Hey, it worked for Fleetwood Mac on "Rumors," so why not for Survivor? Let's just lock Jimi, JP and FS in a room together, and let them all tear each other to shreds through their lyrics on a new album.

Dear Friends...

Our first new release will be available at www.survivormusic.com as the new site is launched. Today I am making my final moves in the mix down at CRC in Chicago. The song is called "How Do You Feel" and is written by myself and Robin.

Stay tuned for more news on the launching of the New Survivor Site. You will be able to download the song there when we launch the site...!

It's a Very Happy New Year and we are all very excited to finally have the song available for all of you.

Be Back Soon!

Frankie? Go back on his word? No, never! ;)

You know, considering how meaningless his promises are, he might as well at least make them a bit more entertaining. Instead of pretending that he'll be releasing a new song or a new website, why not take it up a notch and post something like, "Tomorrow I will perform a live alien autopsy online! Be sure to check back!" or "Next week, I will drive a bus off the Grand Canyon while playing a guitar solo for your amusement! There will be a live video feed on my website!" It wouldn't be any more or less true than the stuff he is posting.

Frankie's latest blog Feb 15 says that there has been heavy snow (and I guess that means things had been hampered). So he'll check back later with an update. Let's see what happens.

If you read Frankies post he said there had been a lot of snow since his last blogging. His last blog was January 4th! Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't the midwest been through major snowstorms since January 4th? Once again I sense people getting emotional about anything FS has to say. Once again personal feelings getting in the way of the facts.

Birthday....yes Snow.....No.....prior to the blizzard of 2011, there had been minimal to no snow in the area, the ground was completely uncovered. As it is now with the exception of where the snow had been piled due to plows. Can't find where to find the supporting data, but btween jan 1 and feb 16....there has been maybe a TOTAL, not counting blizzards 21 inches, of maybe 5 to 6 inches. Again dont know where to look for supporting data, but ground again was bare before snow on tuesday feb 1st.
