It's up to all of you where you want to meet, I'm up for anything. I would like to get to the venue by 6:30 for the pre-party thing.

Is there any Chicago Style pizza places close to the venue?

http://www.chicagodough.com/ The one in Richton Park. It has been a long time since I have ate there, but it used to be pretty good. It would be about 2 miles or so to the venue.

Well if you know the area or any towns close by, where is a good/decent town to meet in? I'm familiar with downtown Chicago, not the small towns in Illinois. Are there any safe towns in Illinois?

Monee is a nice little town and it's the next exit south of the exit for the concert on I 57. Other areas on the way would be Tinley Park (grand illusion music office used to be there on 159th and Harlem) Orlando Park, (home of Gary Loizzo) or you can make a Styx tour of it and take 294 to 95th St. Exit east in Oak Lawn and drive by the old Pumpkin Studio location where CS, PT, and KWH were recorded.

I second that Laurie and Vanish.....ChicagoStyx, Richton Park is not a bad town from what I remember of it. It's been a long time since i've been to GSU, my one girlfriend attended a few classes there about 10 or 15 years back so I will have to ask her how it is out there :?

BTW Chicagostyx....Tinley Park, Orland and Oak Lawn are all in opposite directions from where we're going. Oak Lawn is back north and you would have to jump on the 80 exchange and then hop onto 294 (which btw is a toll road), Orland Park and Tinley are closer to I-80 and would be going back west from where the concert is :P

I edited after you responded....I live close to Oak Lawn and trying to hop on and off all those roads is not only time consuming, but it can also be expensive :?

I didn't check the directions yet, I hope I don't have to take a bunch of freeways. Those Illinois roads and tolls are way too crazy!

Yes, I'm coming from the Great White North, crossing over the Cheddar Curtain :)

I've been through different parts of Illinois, just not familiar with that area. I would like a tour of the Styx history in those areas that you mentioned before :) Grand Illusion is still in Tinley Park.
