Well, Tommy did rock. But after listening to his latest album, I would say he "twangs" more than he rocks!
He said he wants to do ANOTHER blue grass album. I think if he gave his (diehard) fans the choice, they would rather see:

1. A new Styx album with Dennis.
2. A new Damn Yankees album.
3. A new album with Jack of ALL NEW MATERIAL AND NOT remakes.
4. A new solo ROCK album.

I could care less if he and Dennis ever record again. It'd be nice, but no big deal. The rest of them choices... definitely.

STOP WITH THE REMAKES.

I'm sorry, but I still want Tommy and Dennis to do another album together. Get in the same studio and hammer out one last great album.
All rockers and leave the ballads on the cutting room floor. Dennis had some really good songs on 100 years. Could you imagine "Private Jones" or "Rubicon" with Tommy's vocals and guitar work mixed in there?? I can dream, can't I???

For sure it'd be cool. It's just not something I'm holding my breath for. I'd much rather see him do another Jack album without the damned covers.

Gotta wonder if Shaw and Young listened to 100 Years. I would bet they did. It's a good album with the exception of a few tunes that could've benefitted from different production decisions.

Yes I Can is better produced, better written, and better performed than either Breathe Again or I Believe In You. Those two sound like something that would've been on an episode of The Love Boat. Just not good songs and waaay too corny. I can't listen to those backup vocals without cringing. Every other song on 100 years stands up and is decent. Those two just do not. Put the whole Tommy VS. Dennis thing aside (for once) and just listen to the tunes. They don't stack up. Having ranked those songs, I have to say that Save Me is one of Dennis' most well-crafted songs. Superb tune there.

Sorry to keep bringing up the Glenn thing. I think it's hilarious and Everett knows I'm just messing with him. Others here that say it really need to have their head examined...

Oh, you haven't heard that? Well, Everett (at the time his name was nightbull) decided to go to a Dennis DeYoung concert with the goal of hasseling DDY as much as possible. So he got seats pretty close up and when DDY played Mr. Roboto started booing really loudly and doing a lot of thumbs down type of crap - basically making an ass out of himself. His heckling got so bad that it attracted the attention of the band, specifically Glen Burtnik, who, after the concert, tracked our buddy nightbull aka Everett into the men's bathroom and basically asked him why he felt the need to act the way he did. Night aka everett sputtered something and Glen basically told him that he was lucky he didn't kick his ass right there. Night slithered out of the bathroom and went home with his mommy, who he had brought to the concert. Some of us think Glen should have put Night in his place and kicked his ass. It was truly deserved.

While Everett certainly didn't have to do what he did, you REALLY think he should've been physically beat up?? Gimme a break. If you think that, then you've got some issues. The band wasn't threatened by Everett in any way, they were just offended (rightfully so). Glenn did the right thing by not getting into a physical confrontation. Every concert has it's share of A-holes. I like Everett quite a bit, but that was a really lame thing for him to do as it's lame of anybody to make an ass out of themselves at a show. But to wish another person physical harm over it is just nuts.

Why are you so into defending this idiot? He has had multiple screen names on this board. He goes to a DDY show with the express purpose of starting something and goes to the extent of flicking Dennis and the band off during one of their songs from his front row seat. He makes stupid ass posts just to stir shit up. And you are defending him?!?!? Why do I have a feeling that if he was doing this to the version of Styx that is out there touring that you would be the first one to blast the guy? You are so hypocritical Bry. Ever thought of being a politician?

Read my post. I'm not defending him whatsoever. I told him it was a stupid thing to do. I pretty much called him an A-hole for doing it. I blasted him for what he did. But to wish violence on the guy for something that has NOTHING to do with you is just "off". Dennis and crew are big enough to take it. Styx has had plenty of ridicule throughout their career. Just because he tweaked your idol, you're ready to have him beaten up? That's just nuts. Not sure what your claim is on DeYoung, but you'll seemingly go to any lengths to defend anything he does. Ever try being objective?

As for multiple screen names, I don't follow that, and who cares? You can have as many screen names or personas or email addresses as you like. There's no law against it. Not sure what that has to do with anything-As for stupid ass posts to stir sh*t up- The one I see do that the most here is actually You. The latest being "Let's rate Styx's videos and be sure to heap an extra bowl of crap on anything that has Shaw's name on it".

I highly doubt Dennis would say to anybody on his crew "hey, go beat that guy up". If Everett was doing what he was doing, he really shoulda been escorted out. Not forcibly, but at that point, you're F'ing up the show for everybody else there. But beat up? You can't be serious.
