Come on, seriously, Frankie!

When the hell are you ever going to release a brand new Survivor CD???

Neal Schon and the rest of Journey have just released the hardest ROCKING album in their history. The album totally kicks ass!!!

Survivor have the opportunity to release a Rocking new album of their own. But sadly, it would appear that nothing is on the way.

It's beyond ridiculous.

I couldn't agree more here. In fact, I admire what Journey has done with this album. They know they will not get airplay so they made an album for themselves! FS could do the same thing. ECLIPSE is in the truest sense a throwback. It's an AOR record! Survivor could do the same thing. Many who follow this site know I am a big fan of FS, but this silence I do not get. I think the fans deserve better. A hell of lot better.

The fans have always deserved better...I can't know this, but have a big feeling it was FS that held the band back in so many ways for years...

I firmly believe, had he allowed movie snippets of Rocky III to be used in that music video, it would have made a HUGGGGGEEE difference and the band would have been twice, or three times as popular...

Don't believe me? Look back at movie themed videos and tell me I'm wrong? Ghostbusters, Against All Odds, Flashdance, Footloose, Top Gun on and on...they played those videos all the time...none of those movies were more popular than Rocky III and none of those songs better the Tiger...

I really, really believe this one...

It was 1985 before I even knew there was an Eye of the Tiger video guys...

The band did use moive cilps in both Burning Heart and The Moment of Truth. I do cut the band a little slack. Scotti Brothers as I recall was a friggin' mess back then. They got zero promotion.

That is true Slander, but Karate Kid that was a mess, I honestly never saw that video to a couple of year ago on youtube...and Rocky IV was not near the hit (or burning heart) the hit that Tiger or III was...

I would agree, but I have read interviews with JP where he pretty much says that FS fought the movie and record people and pretty much refused to use movie clips...i really just think that could have been a huge spring board...

I mean 1982 was the onset of MTV...and with Mr. T and Stallone clips mixed in, it gets 100 times the play...

Also Burning Heart did get much more video play...think about that...not as much of a hit, but more video play..why was that??? Movie clips...

Moment of Truth is a great song, doomed from the start because FS refused to embrace it because he did not write it...I mean it's okay to play a Bil Conti song for goodness sake!

From a popularity standpoint I agree about putting clips of Rocky III in the EOTT video. But from an artistic standpoint I agree with Sullivan on that.

Same here. I've been telling people for over 25 years now that Frankie Sullivan is a tremendously underrated talent. He's deserves so much more credit than he receives for his talent.

But the guy really needs to take Survivor serious again!!!

Survivor isn't much more than a garage band at the moment.

That is true. I interviewed Frankie and we talked about MOT and you could tell this wasn't his favorite song, that's for sure.

That's what FS thinks but I love it! ESPECIALLY that "chugging" guitar part. I can play that on repeat all day long :D Not to mention JJ's vocals being just brilliant.

Survivor was done when Frankie chose to sing on the last album.

Kinda like when ross, jon and neal sang on generations.

Jon's singing was ok, and Neal's.
