I'd like to hear that. I can't believe they'd have that type of concert back then and not record it. Nobody was doing those type of shows at that time.

I was at the Starwood show in Nashville for RTP as well. It was hands-down my favorite arena-type rock concert that I've ever attended. It was fantastic on every possible level - musically, vocally and in the production. The band seemed so happy to be back together and the fans just couldn't believe what they were seeing.

I do recall Dennis saying something to Gary, but not in a really angry way it didn't seem to me. If I recall correctly he said, "Gary, the drums are too loud in my monitor." Something like that, pretty much in passing.

One thing that sticks out from that night for me was they played a bit of "Light Up" in the acoustic set, which was really cool. Another thing was, during Kansas' opening set Steve Walsh had a cast on because he had injured himself. This was back when Steve was still getting blasted at shows and doing handstands and stuff like that. He sounded and looked really rough that night.

Sterling, I agree with this statement 100 percent. It was my favorite concert/tour of all time and they sounded fantastic.
Also, the band DID look happy to be back together and the diehard fans around me (myself included!) were in AWE! There was a major buzz in the air and people just looked shocked and excited at what they were seeing. I don't think any of the diehards ever expected this to ever happen again. And when Dennis said "did you ever think you would see these bums together again", I actually saw some people tearing up.
I will NEVER forget the first show I saw of this tour. Hands down the greatest concert experience of my life.

I saw Kansas in the 90s and also around 2000 and Walsh seemed like he was totally high on cocaine...the guy was maniacal on stage...then I heard/read that he used to coke up before concerts and I thought. "hmmmm that explains a lot...."

Saw both tours in Biloxi. The 96 show was packed to the rafters, and one ofte best show EVER!!!
The 97 show was too much like the rtp show to be great, but was good. about half of the last tour 6,000 to 7,000.
