MG, your US album doesnt have this bonus one, have a listen. I'm sure you'll like this sexy little number too. And Silvio is right on the money with his comment. LOVE that jam at the end too.

Thank you MG and Deb !!! It's good to chat with you!! It's really a great song!!!

I can't understand why Mr. Big is not huge in America...it's unbelievable!! A lot of bands with 1% of their talent sell/sold millions of CD's...
I'm not a fan as Deb is, but just for information, their largest crowd was here in Brazil, in 1993 or early 1994. It was a show on Santos' beach. Over 100.000 people attended that show. Next month, they will play for a 4500 people in Sao Paulo, but as happened with Journey, the crowd will sing as loud as they can play.

You're just not getting it. They may have more talent than half the stuff out there today, but it doesn't come across that way when they write songs. MB is an example of the parts being better than the sum of those parts. They aren't enough of a cohesive songwriting talent to attract enough fans.....

He's getting it just fine. They attract plenty enough fans everywhere else but the US, so no biggie. The US can enjoy there 4 or 5 arena selling rock bands and all the pop and GaGa they want, leave the rest of the world to enjoy some rock talent. :P They have plenty of good songs, that's where our opinions differ, sure they have some duds but every band does. And I've already stated my opinion that I think it could be better if Martin and Gilbert do more/majority of the songwriting, as 90% of my MB faves are the ones that are for the main part penned by them, the but oh well, I still dig it.

They are something to behold LIVE, that's for sure! But either way.......you can go enjoy some Crazy Lixx and I'll enjoy some Mr. Big. Bahaha.....now there is 2 band names that should never be in the same sentence!

The first song was excellent, the second song sucked and the third song was mediocre.

I just cannot believe that this very average band at best, has 5 pages of posts.

They are not all that.

S2M is partly right- the musicians are pretty good, but they can't write a solid song to save their collective ugly asses. Maybe only the MB bassist, maybe, would be the only one who could go play in Journey out of MB. Not one of the remaining ugly motherfuckers could take a spot from a Journey member, not one. Granted, Journey are pretty talented, but what they did/do not so much, is they were able to write songs people knew and liked. For some reason, I never happen to catch anyone at the mall humming Undertow under their breath....LOL, Mr Big.....Come on Deb, you cannot be serious about these jokers?

Look at their tour schedule..well, I didn't, but they tour on their own? You have got to be kidding me? I guess Survivor wouldn't take em eh? Did REO say no too? I remember these fuckers playing the King of Prussia in Pennsylvania...They played to a totem pole. After they wrapped up the big encore, you could count the pairs of hands clapping on the audio boot....Spare me on the MB praise.

To pile on further, and I was previously correct...Springsteen plays to more in ONE night at Giants Stadium than MB does an entire tour. :D

Oh FFS, I'm not asking you to like them and if you don't fine, then just stay the fuck out of the thread. After all this is a 'music' board right? I'm not in MR slamming anybody else's music so why so threatened that me and some others like MB and are posting back and forth in this thread?

And.......

1. They tour on their own, cuz they can. Hell I think they've got the best of both worlds, can play arenas (overseas) and selling out small/midsize venues (US) too.....on their own. Like Billy said, they re-united cuz they wanted to play together again, it felt right, none of them were hurtin for $, they're touring cuz they want to and made another album because they wanted to......we didn't reunite for the $, he said, it was just great to all be friends again and play together whether they ever toured or made another album or not. Believe me, I'm lovin' that I can see one of my fave bands in a small venue instead of having to see them in, say, the Budokan, overseas. So who knows, maybe with playing larger venues overseas, they didn't feel the need to package up and are playing smaller more intimate shows state side.

2. That wasn't 'Mr Big' that played the King Of Prussia, that was just EM doing that little show on his own. And I know the MRers that went enjoyed themselves, so who cares?

3. And no, people aren't humming 'Undertow'. LOL, btw thats more of a kickass song than one you'd hum to. Just as people aren't humming to Journey's new tunes either or most other bands new music. They're humming to oldies like To Be With You and DSB.

4. I'm all for joking around and a good debate when it comes to any of my favorite artists , but fine, if my music choices bother that much, fuck it I'll go post somewhere else. Gawd.

No! I definitely did NOT want to sour the moment...it was supposed to be in jest, and I in no way want to discourage you and your enthusiasm for "your" band.

I apologize, sincerely, ok? I am sorry Sweetie, really, I am.

Tell you what, I will go to the HOB here in LA and we'll get hammered and maybe you'll give me a 'happy ending' the parking lot before the show? :)

Good stories Deano. Sounds like you have had a lot of fun in your days. Thanks for sharing. I know you have had bad feelings in the past, but I don't think people are all bad. (I.E. Journey members) We all have our moments we are not so great.

Deb, let me know how the show goes. I cannot afford nor am I living in a very good area to see great shows. I have to live vicariously through you guys. Have a wonderful time.

These guys are the equivalent of Three Dog Night playing for an out of town trailer park. Everyone comes, because, hey, it's a concert.

BTW, 3DN came to the fair last year and I was seriously asking myself why they are still in business. I loved their songs as a kid, but
they just sounded like shit...a band way past their prime, out of tune and all.

They were this year, babe. What about Darien Lake 2009? 22,000 all by themselves. :D
Glad you have passion for something. Most people don't have even that. It's cool and
you know I'm just messing with you. I'm more concerned with what does or doesn't

 Paul Gilbert interview in Stuttgart........was asked how Eric broke his arm? LOL, Paul said while hanging after the show he was doing some wild dancin' with the fans and fell.

Sidenote: Aww Paul said the Japan tour was an emotional one too, he says when talking with some of the Japan fans, there were people at the shows that had lost their homes, possessions, etc. and were buying the cd and it was one of the first cds to start their collections again. :(

Mr Big touring all year....... after S. America (July), US tour, then back to Europe. :)
