They were tight and Benoit David did as good a job as anyone could trying to sing Jon Andersons vocals. Styx were electric! I've seen this line-up many times and last nights show was one of the best. They have slightly altered some of the arrangements and it really brings new life to the songs. The audio mix was very strong last night as well, the vocals were mixed better than they have been in past shows and the guitars were very prominent in the mix, what can I say- it was a rocking good show!

Styx headlined? Didn't realize they were flip flopping positions.

If you read the thread with Todd's interview you'll see that flopping positions is exactly what they do. If this was Yes with Jon Anderson there'd be a different story.

In case anyone's interested, I thought I would put up a link to reviews of the "man on the street" at Ticketmaster. Styx is garnering pretty positive reviews across the board; Yes, not so much.

This tour is going to be like any other -- some days chickens -- some days feathers.

If one doesn't mind all the substitutes or how they sound vis-a-vis the original bands, I would guess this would be a popular night of nostalgic progressive rock.

Funny how a 'casual fan' keeps returning to their shows time after time to allow the tours to keep coming.

Compare that to Journey where they attracted the 'casual fan' to Revelation but they all dumped them when Eclipse was released.

"Casual fans" do not stick around for the long haul.

Yea 580 casuals at the last solo STYX show that was a huge draw.

Tell that to the 580

"Baron Von Bielski"

If you read the thread with Todd's interview you'll see that flopping positions is exactly what they do. If this was Yes with Jon Anderson there'd be a different story.

Sure would STYX would not even be on the bill
