Song written by Todd and Ricky

Video

A short performance from "Methods & Mechanics II"....a track I wrote with Ricky Phillips and J.R. Taylor for incidental music for a film (that was rejected) but found a home in my DVD!

So, Todd does Methods & Mechanics II, Ricky writes a song with Todd, and Tommy writes/releases "The Great Divide" all the while, JY and Lawrence talk about this "insatiable demand for the band to play live" as the reason why they won't do a new Styx album even though they would love to- the time just isn't there. Not to mention the fact that for the same amount of effort that it took to record the Regurgitations, they could record new material that was written on the tour bus (because they LOVE writing, but just can't seem to get the time to record anything because of the "insatiable demand" to play live) It's so hard to enjoy music from people who lie incessantly about things that don't even really have to be lies. Why can't they just say "we don't feel like doing another album"? Why do they constantly hone their skills at making up bullshit excuses?

But on a positive note, I think that this Todd/Ricky track is pretty cool. I wonder what movie they submitted it to.
