I prefer LOTR to Star Bores, too.

I meant in the way he was acting. "You don't know what good sci fi is!" Only a serious nerd would say that.

ACTORS.

Most of them came off really wooden.

what would have helped were good scripts. Even a great actor wasn't going to get much of anywhere with those scripts. Of course, one could easily broaden this out well beyond science fiction themed movies.

Count me in as another one who was thoroughly disappointed with the last X-files movie. You have the ability to do something far beyond the reaches of a tv budget, and it simply becomes an extended--and honestly, very average, tv episode. So many wasted opportunities.

Lucas is a great ideas man, but I'm not impressed with his skills as a director or script writer.
That said, the prequels had great acting moments. Ian McDiarmid, Ewan McGregor, and Christopher Lee were fantastic.

I have to say for a man who created out of Popsicle sticks and ping pong balls when there were no special effects to be spoken of, the man created something phenomenal and is laughing all the way to the bank.

Yeah, he definitely's having the last laugh. I love all of the Star Wars films, but I maintain he should have relinquished some of that control to other talented men and women.

Well, you do with what you have to do with. And personally at the beginning no one would give him a chance. Most of the film was out of his own pocket. I think men like him, Jim Henson, and Spielberg were pioneers. Your looking back from a time when CGI has most writers spoiled. These men created legends.

Actually, only a serious nerd would be on an online message board in a thread debating Star Wars to begin with. Not to mention defending the honor of a TV show, as if it was your first born child. Time to get over yourself dude.

I will. Enjoy jerking off to your jizz stained pin-up of Number Six or Seven of Nine (or more accurately, Steve Austin as The Bionic Man). Here is my number 547-098-4456. Call me u pussy, so I can continue making vulgar cracks to you in-person.

Sorry, dude, I don't give out my digits to unknowns, and I'm too lazy to make my number private on my phone before I call you.

Pretty sad to see you mad, though. Just own it. If you're gonna roll, roll. If not, don't play. You know what I'm sayin'?

Man, that is one thing that is on my short list. They have some really cool panels for upcoming films, too. I have a friend who does this every year. Let me know if you want to hit it up in 2012.

I gave up trying to get into the "big" panels. Dude, it's hellacious. Over 130,000 people hit this event now. People camp out overnight just to get into Hall H. Lines for Ballroom 20 and other rooms (not the small ones) weave up and down the hallway like streaks on a Jackson Pollack painting. If you didn't get tix yet, you'll have an opportunity to get them online, but their server gets slammed hard and it could be a bit of a task. Let me know how it goes.
