Would love to hear a new Toto cd with Joe on vocals. Joes solo stuff has really been boring.

Have you heard the Williams/Friestedt album??? This album (while a little on the soft side) kicks ASS!!! I would LOVE to hear him sing lead on some new Toto tunes with the guys. He has aged, but still has a great tone in his vocals. "Swear Your Love", "Say Goodbye", "One More Night", and "Letter To God" are all awesome songs. If you haven't heard them, do yourself a favor and check out this album.

1. Here's "Swear Your Love"

2. "Say Goodbye"

3. "One More Night"- Could only only find this shitty live version. The album version is 1000 times better than than this!!

Very West Coast, but Joe has really lost his power. For my money, TOTO was at its proggy melodic best with Isolation. Fergie's voice gets shrill after awhile, but the album has an edge.

Really, at this point, Toto would be making music for the sake of making music, not to have a "hit" or re-establish the band as a permanent, functioning entity. No reason they couldn't do whatever they wanted musically and get Joe, Fergie, and Bobby to contribute vocally, if they so wanted. I don't really care who's singing, honestly, if it meant David, Luke, and Steve P. were collaborating on music together.

Joe still sounds okay to me, but I agree I've never really heard any of his non-Toto stuff that rocked enough to grab me. Although his solo version of "Goin' Home" was pretty nifty, even if it lacked that Porcaro groove.
