RossValoryRocks wrote:Lula texted me and last night Dean (Rockin' Deano) passed away. I spoke with Lula and she would like to keep the hate to a minimum, so if you are going to spew such do it elsewhere.. Dean was trying to get his life back on track and was doing a good job in that regard. He loved Lula and Wyatt, and was working hard to be the man he knew he should be.
Many people here knew and loved Dean for all his faults. I being one of them. For all the fights he and I had, there was never a time I didn't love Dean like a brother. And I will miss him greatly. For those of you who believe in whatever higher power you choose, please offer prayers for Lula and Wyatt, and his older children and for Dean.

Lula is going to be getting me more info on any memorial service and such.

RIP Deano I love you, my brother.

This is absolutely HORRIBLE news. I am so saddened by this. Even though Dean and I had never met in the real world, we exchanged many emails over many years, and I felt like I really knew the guy. I am absolutely speechless as I read this. I know some weren't fans of Dean on this board. I thought Dean made this board. A true, one of a kind personality who always told it like it was...whether you wanted to hear it or not. Behind all of the rhetoric, he was a really likeable guy. My heart is broken. My sincerest condolences to Lula, Wyatt and all of Dean's family and friends. This is the most depressing post that I have ever read on this board.

I sure don't mind. I had some pictures from that trip, but they're on a dead hard drive. You would be more than welcome to email any you have to me. rick.bethune@yahoo.com

Will do Rick! I had the same problem with my trip to San Francisco. Dean was on that trip too with a handful of us. I lost so many great pics on that hard drive!

"You're Missing" by Bruce Springsteen

Shirts in the closet, shoes in the hall
Melodic Rock on the computer
Everything is everything
Everything is everything
But you're missing

Coffee cups on the counter, jackets on the chair
Papers on the doorstep, you're not there
Everything is everything
Everything is everything
But you're missing

Pictures on the nightstand, TV's on in the den
Your house is waiting, your house is waiting
For you to walk in, for you to walk in
But you're missing, you're missing
You're missing when I shut out the lights
You're missing when I close my eyes
You're missing when I see the sun rise
You're missing

Children are asking if it's alright
Will you be in our arms tonight?

Morning is morning, the evening falls I have
Too much room in my bed, too many phone calls
How's everything, everything?
Everything, everything
You're missing, you're missing

God's drifting in heaven, devil's in the mailbox
I got dust on my shoes, nothing but teardrops

Possibly one of the greatest time of my life. I loved each and every second of that trip to Vegas. I formed a lot of solid bonds that weekend. I consider each and every of you guys here as good friends and each new person I meet from MR, the more happy I am to be awarded that friendship. It's just a unique situation in my world to meet many of you the way I did, sometimes on multiple occasions traveling and getting together for one purpose and that was MR. I'm glad to of met and shake the hand of RockinDeano. A one of a kind personality that lost a battle to darker things in life but he certainly gave off a nice vibe in person. As I said, I'm happy I've had that opportunity.

This is kind of a long story, but I sent some information to Deano a few months ago (last summer) via PM and I got a really weird response back and it was signed "Carol." Apparently somehow she was logged in under Dean's account...after we talked back and forth for a couple of PMs she gave me her email address but I just checked and I deleted that PM.....so sorry!

Such great memories!!! I am still in such shock.....a text I wish I had never gotten. Dean was responsible for so many of us meeting and becoming lifelong friends. Thank you, Dean, for that. Prayers to all of Dean's family and loved ones.

Just want you to know john, you rule as a poster. My anti Boston smack is completely due to S2M. I think that guy is the worst cmplaining sonofabitch around. Please don't take my Boston smack to heart. I love Boston and I love when you rip people to shreds.
