The great football fans of MR:

How is this not considered "launching" by Goodell's standards with no fine:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpHUWD4xrHk

But this is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfFW-Yezv0k

When a player not named James Harrison does it, it's "..this is something that was missing from the Eagles secondary, I know he got a penalty for this, but I like the toughness, I like the aggressiveness since the Eagles didn't have much of it.."

When Harrison doesn't even try to launch, just plays with so much aggression, he's a head-hunting thug that can't play within the rules.

So much for player safety. The Steelers will be the first to be fined via athlete for a much lesser hit.

It's a double standard, to be sure. That Jethole should be suspended for that cheap shot.

The problem with Harrison is that he's become the poster child for late hits. And he has doled out his share in the past few years.

I can't recall Harrison late hitting anybody. He just hits too hard. The best was in 2010, Monday Night game against the Saints. Harrison made a picture perfect hit on Brees. Completley football, nothing else. 15 yard penalty + a fine for "leading with the crown of his helmet into Brees's back" when he led with his facemask, a perfect tackle. I'll never forget the smirk Bree's gave after that. He couldn't believe a standard blindside hit got him 15 extra yards. Saints won the game.

Either way, it looks like the Harrison-era is over. Dude is pretty banged up. Just had arthroscopic knee surgery. May not be healthy for week 1, or he may miss the first 6 weeks. The Steelers could easily be a Super Bowl contender and could have the team to win it all, but these injuries seem to just cloud our chances anymore. Not only is Harrison out, so is his backup Worlids at OLB. Not only is Mendenhall out, but reports are coming out now that Redman could have an MRI on his groin.

Just from THAT stand in, he's sounding bias still...But I'll give it time. Aikman still does that from time to time...so it's part of it.

Hey man, I ended up being in Boston this past weekend for a last second trip. I wanted to look you up for activity and restaurant suggestions, but my shitty hotel charged like 15 a day for Internet. Anyway, I enjoyed the freedom trail and the north end a lot. We ate at Al Dente, Panza, and Beneventos for three different meals, lol. We also checked out the feast in the north end. We stayed at the Hilton on broad st.

Didn't check out much bar life this time around, but did we make some decent north end choices? I enjoyed all 3 meals a lot.

Better than decent, kid. The North End of Boston has the greatest food in the country. Italian food to die for! Glad you had a good time in Boston.

Awful to lose DeCastro. The Steelers seemed to be formulating an action plan to actually have a very solid offensive line protecting Roethlisberger that goes with a more quick-release offense. Nonetheless, such is life in the NFL.

The only thing that makes the situation feel better is A.) There's still tiny, tiny hope that he didn't tear his ACL, which if it's only his MCL, he'll miss 8 weeks and B.) He is replaced by a player that was a BRIGHTSPOT on a horrid o-line the past 2 seasons in Ramon Foster. In Foster I certainly trust. The key right now for the Steelers is for Starks, Colon, Pouncey, Foster & Gilbert to STAY HEALTHY together as long as possible. Something any Steelers offensive lineman has NOT been able to do for a long, long time.

Wow... Seattle names Russell Wilson starter. Matt Flynn just became an unbelievably expensive backup. Never got why this guy got the love for 1 good game throwing to green bay receivers. Hell even kevin kolb played a few good games as Phillys backup before being overpaid.

2 good games in GB.

Seriously...with the weapons he had in GB, he WAS a glorified backup. Like Kolb...look at him now. He's about to lose his job to Skeletor. lol

I don't see that happening. I also don't see him being back after this season. The Patriots just announced that they signed Aaron Hernandez to a contract extension, so they now have both Gronk and Hernandez locked up long-term.

Not happening kid. The Patriots just cut Jabar Gaffney and Donte Stallworth today. They're not good enough to make the Patriots roster, but would probably be the top two wideouts playing for the Cowgirls. Dez Bryant is too much of a moron to stay on the field. Dude is another TO in training.
