There's a HUGE difference between belly-aching about the refs, and calling it like it is. One would have to be DEAF, DUMB, and BLIND NOT to see how horrid of a job these replacement officials are doing! I don't really give a CRAP about the legal stuff and who's in the right and who's in the wrong. I'm not taking sides either way. The integrity of the game IS BEING RUINED by these replacement refs. Come on, we have freakin' FIRED REFS FROM THE LINGERIE FOOTBALL LEAGUE? You can't be serious?

Goodell is squarely to blame for this. If Philly, which stole a win from Baltimore thanks to the refs, makes the playoffs by one game...or if Seattle does the same, or Green Bay misses by one...he should be fired. What a jackass.

Don't be surprised to see this Ravens/Browns game as a low-scoring affair. The Browns defense has the tools to give Flacco fits and they've done so before. I just think Ray Rice is way too much for Cleveland to handle (if airhead Cam Cameron remember him) and we MAY see Colt McCoy in this one.

What's with Baltimore with all these home games? in 4 weeks, they've had 3 home games coming out of the gate. Yep, we ALL see how the NFL wants to set up this years AFC's champion

Yep, and the Ravens finished a perfect 8-0 at home last season. The Steelers weren't that hot of a road team in 2011, not at all, and we open up this season with 4 out of the first 6 games on the road (@ Denver, @ Oakland, @ Tennessee and @ Cincy during that stretch.) We are already 0-2 on the West Coast in our first 3 weeks. Tough way to start, hopefully the Steelers could still be in it whenever they get a stretch at Heinz Field late.

I don't have a good feeling in week 4. Some tough picks.

I couldn't disagree more. One of these days, people will actually figure out what the Commissioner's job is and who he works for. This is 100% on the owners. The owners locked out the officials, not Roger Goodell. The Commissioner's job is to carry out the will of the owners, period, end of story!

Thursday night game after a Sunday night game with the Pats. I don't see that as an ideal scenario despite them both being at home.

Their one of the best teams that play at home in the NFL and 3 already are on a big stage, which means an even more hostile crowd. They opened 2 years in a row at home against a division rival. Almost guaranteed to start off hot. Even last season, in their first 7 games, only 3 of them were on the road.

What's with that fucking annoying chant they do in the stadium anyway. I literally want to stab my ears with a butcher knife. So obnoxious.

Honestly, though, I'm not looking forward to Baltimore (I'll be at Heinz in their first meeting) if the Steelers don't come up with an answer for these no-huddle offense's. If Pittsburgh doesn't get their head out of their ass, then Flaccid will tear us apart with their no-huddle attack.

LeBeau's zone-blitz defense simple doesn't work without any pressure from your d-line and thus far, our d-line has been a bunch of fucking bums. Having a 4th string OLB replacing Harrison doesn't help with pressure either so to go up against the no-huddle, we're going to have to play straight man to man and pray we out-physical guys like Boldin and Smith or it'll be a LONG game (with both matchup's only 2 weeks apart from each other, the fuck is that about?)

Baltimore versus Cleveland - What a shit matchup. Even if Cleveland wins this game outright, the country simply shouldn't be forced to watch dogshit teams in prime time! The only compelling thing about this game is that the actual NFL officials are back in action. Baltimore by 10.

I came down with a bad viral throat infection out of nowhere starting Wednesday morning (not strep at least), but it seemed to be getting better as the day wore on. Then, I stayed up til 11:45 watching this goddamn game end, and now it's 5:24 and I've been up since 4:55 trying to open my throat enough so I can rbeathe. Fuckin thing regressed all because I didn't get to bed at a decent hour.

The Cards are basically a better version of the Jets; they have a ferocious defense, and the offense does just enough to win. If the Dolphins couldn't beat the Jets, they shouldn't beat the Cards either.

And I just don't see the Eagles winning again unless Vick stops turning the ball over.

I have quite a few upset picks for this week: The Vikings over the Lions (Matt Stafford may not start due to injury, and that Lions' D can't stop anything. Christian Ponder is starting to look like the most improved of the sophomore QBs,) The Chiefs over the Chargers (Jamaal Charles will keep pressure off of Cassel, and with Ryan Mathews back in the Chargers lineup, he's always good for 1 to 2 turnovers a game,) the Bucs over the Redskins (injuries in 'Skins defense will allow Josh Freeman to have a good day. Expect a shootout,) and the Saints over the Packers (I'm counting on the demoralizing loss vs. the Seahawks to carry over and affect the Packers' performance. Only the horrendous defense has prevented the Saints from winning up to this point, and I think they're due for a W. If they don't win here, it will be 4 times they've burned me, and I'll likely not pick them again.)

For some reason, I'm this close in switching my N.E/Bills pick. I just have a gut feeling that New England could drop this one but on second thought, no way the Pats can drop 1-3. Another too close to call pick IMO.
