Ravens receivers suck today. Lots of dropped passes.

Roethlisberger continuing to play like an MVP candidate. Very sloppy game from both sides but the Steelers picked it up very quickly. Lots of holding calls not being called. Troy and Woodley OUT. But what else is new.

Steelers get ball second half. Lead 10-0.

Show me how he isn't. He's playing better if not just as good as anybody right now, including Ryan.

Now that CPR had officially worked, Steelers save their season. 80 yard jaunt to win the game. Suisham 8-8 on the year.

The Bungles fucking blow. Them trying that field goal on 4th down is a loser's mentality. Hell, Green-Ellis never fumbled in his entire NFL career. Fucker gets with that suckbag team and has already fumbled 3 times. Unreal.

Dude...you seriously need to get the Steelers dildo out of your anus. You go on and on about how awful Boston fans are talking about their teams, and yet you had 27 Facebook posts yesterday about why Steelers fans are the most awesome fans who have ever existed. It's becoming fucking insufferable! The Steelers were lucky to win that game today (and yes, I picked them). If they didn't win that game, I actually don't think they would have made the playoffs. As for Ben being an MVP candidate...step away from the crack pipe, son!

Not many would have picked the Colts in this game. I'm happy to say that I did indeed pick Miami! I told all these crazy fucks to stop annointing Aaron Rodgers as the second coming of Joe Montana after one good season. Having a great season or two isn't news. Many guys do that. It's about being consistent over a very long period of time. Take the Saints tonight to win their first game. Meachem scores against his old team, and Brees lights up his old team!

If they didn't win the game blahblah they were lucky blahblahblah, they won. Crack is good. 8) Don't let it bother you too much, slappy. It's football season. I'm just pointing out Roethlisberger having a great season and if he continues this pace, his name will pop-up for sure but don't worry, he won't get it. Boston fans are awful, by the way. Like I said, it's one thing to be an asshole to begin with, but to give an asshole bragging power is what you call insufferable. Pats fans hate Pats fans, that's how big of dickheads they are.

Here's what a Pats fan had to say about Pats fans:

They don't even like the Patriots. I spent more time in my life living in New England—13 years—than living anywhere else. I went to prep school in New Hampshire (I know, I know, I'm a dipshit). I went to college in Maine. My parents have lived in northern Connecticut for over two decades. I hung out with a lot of New England sports fans before 2001, and I'm going to tell you something: Before 2001, Boston sports fans HATED the Patriots. It's not that they ignored the Patriots; it's that they absolutely loathed them. The Patriots didn't have the championship tradition of the Celtics, nor did they have the compelling (to Boston people, at least) sob story of the Red Sox, nor the Bawbby fackin' Orr scrappitude of the Bruins. The Patriots were given all the love and support of a Russian foster child.

And now Pats fans are the most insufferable species of human being. They ALWAYS want you to think that they're smarter than you because their coach is smarter than anyone else. Meanwhile, you couldn't get these people to watch a Pats game in September and October if you offered them a thousand bucks and a Kate Upton rimjob. Secretly, they can't wait to go back to hating the Pats and having more free time to dote on their precious, dipshit Red Sox. They're the worst.

I hate just about every one of the dichkeads in that stadium on any given Sunday. Commonly referred to as the wine and cheese crowd, these fuckers refuse to get involved in games. On my left sits a guy who spends half of every game telling everyone to sit down, on my right are tickets owned by some assholes who only come to the "best" 2-3 games of the year and sell the rest to what always ends up being Jets fans.

Next time you see a Pats game on TV, notice the red seats in the middle section of Gillette Stadium. That's where the people in the luxury boxes have the option of sitting outside. During cold games (read: almost all games) these seats are barren, making Foxboro what I assume is one of, if not the, quietest stadium in football.

Patriots fans are also the biggest group of front runners in the league. I've heard the offense booed off the field more times than I can count. Sure, everyone deserves to be booed from time to time but the Pats offense has been pretty ok the last few years. Also, in one of the last games of his career Troy Brown botched a punt attempt and he was booed off the field. Troy Brown being booed at home is beyond my little brains' power of comprehension.

They show up late, they leave early. Fuck Patriots fans. Fuck them in their fucking assholes.

Well Trav your Steelers face the Titans here next Thursday and this is the first year since the Titans came along in '99 that i can absolutely say they are done this early in the season.Buffalo might have a bad defense this year but Tennessee is right there with them as the worst.Matt Hasselbeck was alright last year but i can honestly say he is done. We've already lost Locker for a while and Chris Johnson has 60 carries this year for about 150 yards and he is done also. They are gonna have to blow it up and start over here in Tennessee. The defense is going to get better its being on the field 45 minutes a game that kills us.The offense can't sustain drives so the defense spends way too much time on the field.

Yeah right. The Steelers never blow out a team their supposed to. I actually can't remember the last road game we won. Maybe Kansas City last season when we barely escaped by the skin of our teeth with Tyler fucking Palko at QB. The Steelers, somehow, will keep this close. I was glad to see Brady whomp on Manning and put the Doncs away like they did. I'm sick and tired of seeing Manning dance in the pocket. After the Steelers gave me a heart-attack again in a 2 point victory at the gun, I enjoyed to see an offense go out there and put foot on throat.

I expect the Titans to be "up" for this game. They are on a terrible skid and the Steelers come in town. A bad team like the Titans playing at home with the Steelers coming in always fires up the players to beat Pittsburgh. I've seen it over and over with teams getting fired up to play Pittsburgh and the Steelers come out flat because of that recognition of being the Steelers. I expect Tennessee to come out fired up, at home, desperate for a win. The Steelers should murder, but they rarely beat a team by a wide margin that they should. I like the Steelers by 13 at best if we click on all cylinders. We left atleast 21 points on the field against Philly yesterday (Ben missed a wide-open Heath Miller at the 1, Antonio Brown dropped a perfect 50 yard bomb in the endzone, Mike Wallace was stone hands & Jericho Cotchery tripped over air on the goaline.)

After watching the Pittsburgh Steelers squeak by the Philadelphia Eagles, 16-14, on Sunday afternoon, I was reminded of something one league executive told me prior to the start of the season:

"Ben Roethlisberger is the most underrated player in the NFL."

At first thought, it seems odd to label a two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback as underrated, but I'm starting to buy into this theory.

Yesterday was a great example of how Big Ben just doesn't get enough credit for his play. His stat line was very ordinary: 21-for-37 for 207 yards and no touchdowns. When you look at those numbers without watching the game, it is hard to gain an appreciation for just how well Roethlisberger played.

Roethlisberger did three things in this game that were instrumental in the Steelers' victory:

1) Buying time in the pocket. This Steelers offensive line is very average; Roethlisberger bails the unit out repeatedly. In yesterday's game, there were numerous times where Pittsburgh's offensive tackles were beat cleanly off the edge, but Big Ben was able to climb up in the pocket and get the ball out. When he had pressure up the middle, he side-stepped, pulled out of tackles or absorbed a hit while getting the ball out of his hand. The Eagles have a very deep and talented pass rush, but they didn't record a single sack on Sunday.

2) Winning on third down. Roethlisberger showed why he is the NFL's best third-down quarterback during Pittsburgh's game-winning drive. He converted two third-down passes with the Eagles pinning their ears back and attacking him. His ability to maintain poise, find the open man and deliver an accurate ball is uncanny. As a result of those key conversions, the Steelers not only kicked the game-clinching field goal, but they also burned the final 6:33 off the game clock.

3) Protecting the ball. As the Eagles can attest, successful quarterbacking isn't just about the plays you make, it's also about the mistakes you avoid. Michael Vick lost two crucial fumbles for the Eagles, while Roethlisberger didn't record a single turnover. In fact, he has only turned the ball over once this season (a pick in the opening loss to the Denver Broncos). Decision making is the most important aspect of quarterback play; all of the arm talent in the world isn't worth a thing if you don't know where to throw the football.

Having worked for two AFC North teams (Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns), I have a healthy respect for Roethlisberger's talent, but I'm not sure he gets the national attention he deserves. It seems like every time the top-tier quarterbacks are discussed, Big Ben's overlooked. Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and the Manning brothers are outstanding, but Roethlisberger absolutely deserves to be in their company.

ESPN recognizing:

What became clear is that the Steelers are going to go as far as Roethlisberger takes them. The offense is making careless errors and penalties. The defense is showing cracks in the fourth quarter. Based on the injuries, that's not going to change anytime soon.

The one constant in an uneven season has been Roethlisberger. Off to one of the best starts of his nine-year career, he entered this game ranked in the top five in the NFL in completion percentage, touchdowns, passing yards and passer rating. These categories don't fully reflect Roethlisberger's value this season.

Roethlisberger had to pick up the team after last year's top-ranked defense failed to stop the Eagles on two fourth-down stands and on third-and-goal, which put the Steelers in a 14-13 hole with 6:33 remaining in the game. Then, on the first offensive snap after Philadelphia's touchdown, left guard Willie Colon was called for holding, which pushed the Steelers back to their own 10-yard line. Putting the Steelers on his back, Roethlisberger completed a 20-yard pass to Brown over the middle to convert a third-and-12 and found Emmanuel Sanders with a 7-yard toss on third-and-4 to put the Steelers within field goal range.

Roethlisberger recorded his 82nd career victory, and nearly one-third of them have been decided by a winning drive that he engineered. I'm not sure there is another quarterback you want more with the game on the line.

Glad I'm not the only one recognizing it without any "homerism's" involved.
