The Patriots Secondary has been in shambles since Rodney Harrison retired. Dude could flat out play and receivers were afraid to get near him because they knew he would take their head off. Assante was okay, but also got burned a lot. Truth be told, they haven't had a very good Cornerback since Ty Law. The frustrating part for me is that they draft a ton of guys to play in the Secondary and none of them can fucking play. McCourty gets more PI calls against him than any DB in the history of the NFL, because he simply refuses to turn his head to play the ball. I love their pick of Chandler Jones this season, as the dude can flat out play. I just wish they would find ANYONE who can play Defensive Back. It's fucking beyond embarrassing when a QB like Wilson lights your team up. The dude simply isn't close to being that good and will be out of the NFL within 3 years!

Pats are playing below their standards...sad to think next week's Pats/Jets game will determine the division leader....Who does that leave left in the AFC? The Chargers? The Broncos? Yikes!
...I'm starting to think every AFC team is gonna finish 8-8. Will the 'real' elite team of the AFC please stand up?

Not sure if your comment is directed toward me, but I see one of my quotes in there. For the record, Matt's comment was about Peyton. Mine was not. I was referring to the first half of football I watched, as it was fucking DREADFUL! I think everyone probably knows I am soooooooo not a Chargers/Norv Turner fan. I haven't been able to figure out (for many years) how the hell Norv Turner still has a head coaching job in the NFL. Guy is fucking AWFUL! The good news is that if you're a fan, this is your season, because you're team is alive and well. Less than a third of the teams (9 to be exact) in the entire league have a winning record. Eleven teams in the league are 3-3 (including one entire division). This will truly be a season to just get into the tournament and see what happens, because absolutely nothing will be decided in the regular season, as it rarely ever is in this league.

After I commented about the mediocrity of the AFC, I was just thinking that the Broncos 'could' potentially be the 'elite' team of the AFC...they'll be outright scary if Peyton and co. ever get on the same page for two halves.

Elite? Ha. That's funny. You do know that they're also 3-3, right?
