I know they'll never exactly be the best of friends, but surely Lukather recognises Kimball's contribution to the overall sound? I know many would disagree, but it just ain't Toto to me without Kimball - and the thought of never seeing the mustached one up on the stage with those guys is to me a sad one.

I'd like to see them shake hands on the fact that they're doing it for the fans - and then see Kimball join them as a guest for a few shows during the celebrations. Cause if that deal made it to the UK, they can guarantee I'd be buying a ticket. Then after the tour is done, Toto can carry on with Mr Williams, Kimball can carry on with his own thing, and a lot of fans like me could die happy!

Luke wears his heart on his sleeve. You have to get used to that. At some points, he'll be pissy about other members and others very loyal and protective of them. I've seen him bitch about Bobby, and then also get right pissed when a reviewer made cheap shots at Bobby too. He griped about Fergie and I saw him play with Fergie in Minneapolis and say flat out, "Life's too short".

I personally wouldn't rule it out.

I don't know what the beef is. My speculation (again, purely speculation) is that Bobby wanted to tour using increasingly canned vocals. Luke don't play that game.

I don't think Luke and Bobby were ever particularly close, but no idea if there was friction from the early days or not, of course in the beginning Luke was thankful for the gig and would put up whatever Jeff and Paich wanted - that changed a bit after Jeff passed away!

Still, Luke has had very publicly fallen out (and then made up) with Tommy Denander, David Garfield, Paich, Fergie, Joe...just about everybody really! As mentioned earlier in this thread he's a 'heart on his sleeve' kind of guy, and that seems to be his undoing - usually works out fine in the long run once he's calmed down, so what the hey.
