Laughing, especially considering the likelihood of the Equinox tour which Lawrence spoke about.

Look for the Equinox tour???(maybe), but with DDY on vocals and Gowan still in the band. This will be a VERY limited tour.

Man if the Powerball was as easy to predict as the no chance in hell of this happening, I would be a multimillionaire by now.

Well, the only way they could legitimately pull off an Equinox tour is to have DDY back as he sings every song on that album sans Midnight Ride.

But given JY's attitude and what he's said in the past, I'll quote him, "When they're playing hockey on the river Styx." Besides, if I am DDY, after what those guys have done, if they come calling I'd tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

JY's quote was a long long time ago. It's still a band vote with Tommy & Chuck maybe swaying one way and JY softening on hi$$$$ end. As long as Lawerence remains in Styx look for DDY and even Glen (for a show or two) to make it back in late Dec - early Feb 2013. No new music on the horizon but look for Dennis to do at least 10 shows with his former mates.

Then it will all go back to the way it is now unti???????????

The door will be ajar

I hope you're right. I remain very skeptical though, but it would be awesome. I just don't see how Tommy fits in... after all, he never played on it. Though he was part of the original tour.

Tommy fits in BIG time with Dennis coming back for this short(for now) reunion.

As for the Equinox album thing, thats all news to me. It may somehow fit with them(Styx) playing certain albums for their concerts.

I'm not buying this. In a more recent interview with Chuck, he was asked about there being a reunion with DDY. His answer was something to the effect "I like how the band is now" and "Dennis and I have NOTHING to talk about". Besides, I do not see any benefit to either side for such a short term thing. Not to mention the awkwardness of having LG, DDY's replacement on the stage at the same time as Dennis. It appears to me that their (JY,TS,CP & DDY) relationship was so fragile towards the end that having both DDY and LG share the stage in what Dennis feels was his band is just too unrealistic. Not to mention DDY being the type A personality that he is and wanting to be in control would be something TS & JY would not even want the possibility dealing with it. It appears to me Dennis is quite happy with his current band and performing schedule. The same could be said for the the current version of Styx. DDY doesn't need them and neither does his former band mates need him. Personally, any reunion at this point would seem not genuine and only for $$ sake. As for Dennis I don't see him needing the money.

I thought the Perry loons were crazy... you people take it to a whole other level!  DDY has as much of a chance reuniting with STYX as Queen does with Freddie Mercury.

I think your right. I don't seem to think that JY or TS feel the need to mend any fences or feel that they made the wrong decision for themselves.

You mention page 294 of TGD so much that I had to re read it to find out what was so awful. Basically it discusses Dennis and Tonmy having an argument about BNW. Essentially Dennis is hot becAuse he doesn't want to release an album that wasn't finished. And given the piece of crap that BNW was, I'd say he was right. The horror!

What a disappointment that album was. We as fans had waited so long to see them get back together and most felt that was never going to happen. The '96 reunion was great and then they announced that they would be releasing a new studio album, one couldn't have asked for more. Then we get a fragmented album that sounds like a bunch of solo works slapped together. It just seems to me that on a personal level these guys became like oil and water.

I highly doubt it, but then again I NEVER thought Triumph would share the stage ever again in my lifetime.

I know JY is starting to be a little nicer in his recent interview, but I don't think he would allow a Styx reunion.

I think both camps are happy where they are at, why a reunion now ?

Did not just before the 96 tour, DDY wanted a tour keyboardist with band? But it was Tommy who convinced him otherwise? They have that now bc with Larry.
