I don't need "rose-colored glasses". Your argument is moronic. Stating the vast majority of a guy's completions came in the second half is simply fucking stupid. No shit they came in the second half. Hell, I already stated that the Patriots were losing 31-3 with ten minutes left in the third quarter. Clearly, the Patriots and Brady slept through the first half! Last I checked, a football game is actually four quarters, and all four count! As I said, the 49'ers won the game fair and square. I simply didn't walk away thinking they were a top team in the NFL, like I did after I watched them dominate the Bears earlier in the season. They're an okay team, but I would be STUNNED if they made it to The Super Bowl!

And I think the Pats lost the game "fair and square"... I also think Brady was brilliant in the 2nd half, and well defended against the 1st half.

After all, 2 halves equal 4 quarters if I recall... and since "all four count", its really moronic that you can't see that the REASON "Patriots and Brady slept through the first half" is because the Niner D shut them down... It's why Brady had only one completion over 10 yards in the 1st half, and 13 over 10 yards in the 2nd half. The 9ers changed their defensive scheming in the 2nd half and Brady brilliantly took advantage of it.

The stats quarter over quarter reflect this... but apparently your "know" better....

I expect the 9ers to lose in the 1st round.. I see GB is peaking now.. Seattle is a darkhorse (peaking now)...

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I'll make a prediction..... Broncos vs. Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

Could be wrong but i think Seattle is on a roll and also the most dangerous in the NFC while in the AFC i think Peyton Manning will make history and take the Broncos to the big game.Definitely going to be a very different looking championship game this season with teams like the Giants and Steelers not making the playoffs and those two teams have been a big part of the last five or six Super Bowls.

Thats a real possibility, but I dont think the Seahawks have proven they can be as effective on the road
in a hostile stadium, but I think thats coming. They are solid on both sides of the ball, have the biggest corners
in the league, and Wilson keeps getting better and better.

Couldn't agree more. Seattle is a VERY good team. That said, they're going to have to win some big games on the road to make it to the big game, and I simply don't see it happening. Not to mention, Green Bay got absolutely HOSED against Seattle earlier in the season with the replacement officials. I suspect they are chomping at the bit to get their revenge.

Seattle are very strong at home. I agree that on the road they are not the same

The one team I think literally nobody is talking about is the Indianapolis Colts. Can they upset?

I think what may kill Seattle is Sherman's impending suspension. If he loses his appeal and gets suspended in time for the playoffs, I think that secondary may become a little vulnerable. Could be a 1st round sleeper exit, especially if Russel Wilson suddenly hits the rookie wall.

BTW, how did I manage 14 out of 16 this week in Pickems? Too little too late but at least I'm finishing strong so far.

Final week will be tough to pick. Who will sit their starters? Who will spoil a playoff run? It'll be interesting.

Absolutely NOT! Could they win a round? Sure. Any team could. That said, they simply don't have the pieces. I would like Seattle FAR more as a dark horse, and I also don't think they have much of a shot outside of Seattle, even though I really like their team.

The Colts most likely will face the Ravens. I think so little of Flacco they could win this game.
However if they have to face the Patriots forget about it!

I see the Ravens at LEAST getting to the divisional round again. If anyone knocks them off..it'll be the Broncos. The Dolts...HELL NO. Too much animosity there.

I don't think so.I personally think they will be one and done. They most likely will get blown out especially if they play a team with some firepower like the Patriots or Broncos. There is one team i think the Colts could upset in the playoffs and thats the Cincinnati Bengals.I think a Colts/Bengals matchup could go either way.

...Now I'll agree that Seattle is a legitimate threat in the playoffs. Sherman's appeal has been upheld. Disregard my previous post. 8)

Must win. The Redskins are on a big time roll, and I don't have a lot of faith the Cowboys can beat them, but I sure hope they do. I have a lot of annoying Skins fans at work that need to be silenced. Where I work, everyone is from somewhere else. There are more anti Cowboys fans then there are fans. It's a bitch of a place to work.

Not in Baltimore they won't. The hatred level will be off the charts for the Colts. If they still had Manning maybe, but you have no idea how hostile the crowd will be.

Yeah, but Chuck Pagano is very familiar with Baltimore and so is Bruce Arians, who's had major success beating the Ravens while he was OC for the Steelers. I can see the Colts upsetting the Bengals or Ravens, but not the Patriots or Broncos. Manning and Brady are destined to face off again in the Title game and the NFL is jizzing in their penis-pouch from that thought.

Bengals have a better shot if they come to Baltimore than the Colts do. Luck won't be able to handle a veteran team in that environment. Not yet anyway.

What in the world has Sean Payton done to earn the highest coaching salary in the NFL?

He has (a) presided over a scandal that gutted his team, tarnished their SB victory, and cost the team a year of contention while their franchise QB isn't getting any younger and (b) lost to a 7-9 team and a team with a game manager QB in the playoffs the last two years, proving that by and large, his videogame approach to football has been figure out by opposing teams.

Hardly seems justified to me.

Niners win... against the Cards with a 29% 3rd down conversion efficiency...

That ain't gonna get it done in the post season.

Am I the only one who finds this hilarious? Baltimore fans are mad because they feel Indianapolis stole their team? Really? Does the name Cleveland Browns mean anything to you? Classic.

I don't blame people from Baltimore for being pissed that the Colts were stolen away from them and moved.
And I don't blame them for having wanted to get another new NFL team back in the 90's.
But the absolutely most hypocritical thing is how some people from Baltimore acted like that sack of shit Art Model was some kind of hero for stealing the Browns from Cleveland and moving them to Baltimore. We in Cleveland didn't want to turn around and steal some other cities team away from them. We fought to get an expansion team, keep our name and team colors and our records from the past.

Art Model was a true piece of shit, and if I believed that bad people go to hell when they die, I would be convinced that Art Model would be roasting in hell right now.

I hope the Niners refer to the off week as "Get our shit together" week. Congrats to them though. I also hope they can find a kicker. If not for him, they'd be 13-3.
