Lovie Smith might end up with the Bills.

I'm with Ditka in thinking that firing him was ridiculous.

Im sure Ditka thinks when he was fired it was ridiculous too. Phil Emery Deserves the chance
to put his own stamp on this team, so far he brought in Brandon Marshall, Ashlon Jeffrie, Michael Bush.
Lovie has never had an offense ranked higher than 13th (and that was only one year!) you cannot
win in this league scoring 14 points a game. And that is with arguably the best quarterback- receiver combo
the Bears have ever had. It was time for him to go.

Christian Ponder has been declared inactive for tonight's game against Green Bay. I'm changing my pick from Green Bay by 14 to Green Bay by 28!

Coach's

Postby No Surprize » Mon Jan 07, 2013 1:15 am

All these fired head coach's are being hired by teams that fired their head coach and are just hiring a different fired coach? WTF? If you can't win with the

one your with, what makes an owner think they can win with your piece of shit team? It boggles my mind what these idiots do. And another question. After

watching both games yesterday, why do they even have back judges and side judges if they aren't going to uphold the rules? It specifically states that you

cannot put your hands on a receiver after 5 yards. That doesn't mean 5 and a quarter or 5 and a half, or 6 yards, but fucking 5! Call it you 70 year OLD

clueless bastard! I'm beginning to think the NFL is in cahoots with Vegas and the line and is getting as rigged as boxing!

Enigma869 wrote:Vikings vs. Packers - I admire what the Vikings and Adrian Peterson have done this season. I don't think the Vikings are that talented of a team and don't believe any team is winning with Christian Ponder at QB. I'd also give Peterson the MVP this season. Having said all of that, this game will be a different game for the Vikings. They actually have to get out of the dome and play in real weather conditions at the worst NFL stadium for weather. The Packers are the better team and win this one. Packers by 14.

Seahawks vs. Redskins - I love everything I've seen out of RG3 this season. From what I can see, his only real challenge as an NFL QB is that he is going to have to stop taking the hits he's taking, or it will be a short career. The momentum is on the Redskins side, and the Seahawks are a VERY different team away from home. It's hard for me not to like this Seattle team. Even though I think they're going to be a challenged road team, I like them in a close game here. Seahawks by 4.

Colts vs. Ravens - Easily the toughest game of the weekend for me to pick. The Colts are a limited team who have had a remarkable season. It once again illustrates how much emotion factors into the sport of football. They've all rallied around Pagano, but that will only take them so far. I'd give Arians the "Coach of the Year" Award (yes, he is eligible). This Ravens team doesn't scare me, even a little. I'd take any QB in the AFC playoffs over that blowhard Flacco. I'm not sure what to expect out of Baltimore's aging defense. Their defensive unit simply hasn't been good this season. I'm giving the Ravens a very slight edge in this game, based on the home field alone. Ravens by 3, but I would not be remotely surprised to see the Colts win this game.

Bengals vs. Texans - The Bengals are a team and an organization who I've just never been able to respect. I think they're always a dangerous team in a way that any team with a legit NFL QB (and I think Dalton is that) and a stud receiver (AJ Green is definitely that). The Texans are in a very interesting position entering the playoffs this season. Everyone will pick them as a team ripe to be upset. Most think they tanked it down the stretch and can't be taken seriously in the playoffs. Teams who everyone is betting against are always very dangerous (ask the 2007 Giants). In spite of the Texans play down the stretch, they're still a good team. Texans by 10.

Ah...so nice to get a few games right. I'm aiming for perfection next week, too.

I have Atlanta/New England; Green Bay/Denver. Have to think about which variation I like better though and make a choice by next week. I know you may rip me a new anal-cavity for this next comment, JFB, but it all depends if I go with the upset with Houston over N.E. Don't know if I'm going to pull the trigger.

I don't see Peyton Manning losing to Green Bay, I really don't (even with his penchant for gagging in the big one). Their defense is just so terrible, and their health on the offensive side of things leaves a lot to be desired. I am not a fan of the way Green Bay plays at all.

Is it just me, or is Seattle really starting to feel like a team with a destiny? They've definitely proven they can play with anyone. Wilson backs down from no one, Lynch is a beast, and their D is pretty stout. I like them more and more as time goes on. I wouldn't be shocked if they made it through the NFC...

Not only earlier in the season, but the little quirks is what make Seattle so goddamn FUN to watch. For some, it's only a few simple things that separate losing teams and winning teams and for Seattle's sake, it's guts like Russell Wilson sprinting to the outsides and understanding his teammate so well to go out there and lead-block time and time again. Seattle's defense adjusted quickly and smelt blood once RGIII's knee gave out, but it's the offense that understand each other very well. Fun stuff.

It's the NFL, dude...ANYTHING can happen. Given that Houston had a better record than New England did for the entire season (until the final week) wouldn't exactly make it an upset. I've been watching football for far too many decades to think the game on Sunday will remotely resemble the ass whooping that the Patriots gave the Texans a month ago. Remember, what I said about the Texans...teams who everyone is picking against are always dangerous. The Patriots ALWAYS get every team's best shot. There isn't a team in the entire NFL who opposing teams get more "up" to play than the Patriots. I expect it to be a good and close game. Early weather predictions look to be unseasonably warm (upper 40's), which will always benefit a team who plays their games in a warmer climate. Ultimately, the Patriots are a better team. That said, they were also a better team than the 2007 Giants, and we know how that turned out. We'll see how things shake out, but I like the Patriots in a close game.
