Why did San Francisco abandon the run game once they got inside the ten? Gore was wearing the Raven's down. And throwing a fade on fourth down?

No idea. Kaepernick or gore should have been unleashed. Bizarre

Absolutely, complete lack of game planning and lack of any offensive imagination. Chris Culliver should be looking for a new team in my opinion also. That said, lack of first half production and late non-holding calls cost the 9ers big. Ravens played a solid game though. Just wish it didn't come down to bad or non calls where there should have been.

I think the irony of all ironies is that the whole game came down to 1st and goal on the Ravens 5 yard line..

...and the Niners couldn't get it done... even with Kaep they couldn't score.. shameful.

Congrats, Baltimore. Well deserved 8) We'll see how you perform with a 20 million dollar QB tieing down other playermakers and the target engraved in your back. Your reign starts NOW.

The crazy thing is that's exactly what they're going to have to pay Flacco, and as solid as he was this season, that seems like a nutty number to me. Kudos to Baltimore and their fans for winning that game, but when you watch some of those throws Flacco makes...holy shit. It's very clear on many of those throws that the guy is simply heaving the ball and has zero fucking clue where the ball is going to land.

Blatant missed call on the pass to Crabtree. The guy grabbed him with both hands and pulled him. Should have been first and goal at the one with 1:30 to go. That was the game right there. You HAVE to make that call. The better team did not win.

Missed pass interference call on the 9ers too.

Agreed. I hate when the officials miss big calls in a big game. It's always driven me nuts. I didn't have a dog in this fight, but saw missed calls on both sides. Also, I'm not sure why San Francisco didn't simply run Kaepernick four times down there on the five yard line. It was pretty evident to me that the Ravens defense had ZERO clue how to stop the guy from running and couldn't get the edge on him turning the corner. If they ran Kaepernick down there, they absolutely win that game.

Yeah, but the commentators were pointing out on the replay that Crabtree was grabbing too...that would have been offset penalties, no?

No. Crabtree was reacting to being held - trying to get the defender away from illegally grabbing him to catch a 4th down pass.

Torrie Smith was mugged on a potential TD early in the game.

The better team won.

The 9ers though are the team of the future. Just a little too young.

Odds are out for next season (not that odds ever mean a damn thing). New England is the favorite to win it all at 6 to 1. San Francisco is 7 to 1.

Patriots are definitely a favorite.

Ravens = it really was the last ride. Need to pay Flacco, can't afford Reed and Ray is gone.

They will be a playoff team but early exit. Going to take a year or two to regroup. That's why getting the big prize was so important.

I'm wondering how much cap room Flacco will eat up also. With Ray Lewis retiring and Ed Reed possibly leaving in free agency the team will look much different next season.Wondering if there are any other playmakers on the team about to test free agency.Regardless it will be very hard to repeat as champion so we will see what happens next season.

The schedule next season looks rough with New England,Green Bay,Minnesota,Houston,Chicago,Detroit and Denver and that does not include Pittsburgh and Cincinnati who will both be gunning for the division next season.

Perfectly put. Exactly. I've said it game after game after game for the past 2 years. I've watched Baltimore a ton, and it's almost insulting to see Flacco use the long ball and aimlessly throw the ball in the air to wide open space, having no clue where it may land and their wideouts going up like MADMEN and snapping that thing out of the air on almost every occasion. I've never seen anything like it. Those Ravens receivers are STUDS. Jacoby Jones is a gamebreaker. I've seen that dude win ATLEAST 3-4 Ravens games this season ALONE and he struck again last night. They better find a way to keep Boldin, not sure how, but that's Flacco's go-two lob. Big body wideouts is something the Steelers must find. Ballhawks that are willing to leap and snag the ball at its highest peak at all cost.

Boldin is a beast. Thought he was a disappointment at first, but I really appreciate his style of play now.

Not only did Joe Flacco say on air last night that he's coming for Bischotti (contract), calling him out on the air, and wanting 100 million, he skipped the team party to have his own private party (only him and family).

Why not have Scottie Hamilton parade around like a fruitcake at halftime?
