Joseph Williams live

Postby Sundet » Wed Apr 17, 2013 10:06 pm

Joseph Williams played a blinding solo gig in Oslo last night. Too bad attendance was rather sparse, but those of us who did attend got one of the best shows I've ever seen. Crazy banter between songs as well (such as Williams stepping randomly on guitarist Peter Friestedt's pedals, wondering how Lukather would have reacted). How some people here can claim Williams can't sing live is beyond me. Yesterday's vocal performance was impeccable and I made sure to document it:

Thanks for posting this. I don't know anyone who says Joe can't sing live. He has def improved since the TOTO XX tour, thats fer sure.

Did he play "Goin' Home"? I love his solo version of that.

Luke was telling me last week what great shape JW was getting himself into. Awesome.

Both vocally and physically. Not only did he sound great when he performed here in Norway, but he had also lost a lot of weight. Inspired by Luke, perhaps? I know they go hiking together in L.A.

Yeah, Joe looks and sounds great these days! I ran into him just before the Oslo gig and didn't recognize him at first.

Glad to hear Joe is trimming down. He seemed to put on like 50 pounds in a short time and that's got to make it hard to hit the notes.
