What will 1 million bring?

Postby Toph » Thu May 02, 2013 11:37 pm

Styx has 700000 Facebook likes and posted yesterday that once they reach 1 million, a big surprise is coming. What do you think it is?

They'll start playing 'Babe' again at concerts.
Their only #1 hit .

It would be a welcome change from the 3 billionth rendition of Blue Collar Man.

I'd rather hear the acoustic version of best of times. That one doesn't suck
as much as babe does 8)

Mid chart peak/overrated song...Wasn't close to being the best song on the album. In fact, it is arguably is the weakest song on the second side of Pieces of Eight. Ok, it beats Aku Aku..

They'll release another retread of a song from their back catalog.

overplayed? perhaps

overrated? not even close....in fact, it may even be underrated.

not even close to being the best song on POE? yes it was close.

BCM is easily one of the top ten or certainly top 15 styx songs......it's classic tommy and since tommy is now leading the band there is no way you remove that song from the setlist.....in fact, i dont think it was never not played since it appeared on POE.

and regardless of chart position it is easily one of the most recognized styx songs ever and may be the one i hear on the radio the most along with renegade and come sail away and lady.

Exactly. If you ask average joe to name 5 styx songs that is definitely one of the five.

Bullshit. BCM will not get mentioned. It is average at best and is not a breakthrough song. If anything people are like, oh BCM, its fine. It is never mentioned as anyone's favorite Styx song.

I wouldn't say that Liam, but to each their own.

But I would rather hear an acoustic version of First Time than BCM for the billionth time.

Let's face it, a lot of their core or staple songs have been played "billions" of times. Which includes BCM. In fact, the same thing could be said about Babe. Some people like it and some people don't. Some people say it's a great song and some people say it sucks. It's all a matter of taste and opinion. I have nothing against the song but, I am a little tired of hearing it. I feel the same about CSA at times.

Not at the pace these guys work on releasing new material. That is if you could actually call these mediocre retreads new material.

Or some fantastic new additions to their line jewelry. Perhaps their going to perform KWH live in it's entirety.

Heard from a Styx insider that they will be teaming with Waste Management and will be introducing a huge line of Styx trash cans. Their top of the line can will be able to hold over 200 gallons of Whale Vomit.
