It would be interesting to see. Frankly, I never thought I would see DDY adding this tune.

I'm dubious.

The reasons:
- Its only on a fan submitted set list - have seen lots of mistakes on setlist.com as you are going by fan memory (and knowledge)
- Dennis (like many of us) doesn't consider Miss America an essential Styx track - mostly has stayed in Styx sets (w DDY) to let JY have his moment in the show and because it was on their biggest album. But it is a distant fourth as far as most popular song on that album.
- The bitterness between JY and Dennis is palatable. DDY mentions TS positively in interviews yet never mentions JY. And we all know what JY thinks and says re: Dennis. Why would DDY want to acknowledge a JY song in his setlist?

Of course it might have been a bigger hit in Canada, but I just don't see it. If there is a video or even if someone was there that can corroborate, that is a different story, but for now, color me dubious.

The entire concert is on Youtube in 4 parts. I watched the last part and SMB goes right into CSA. There was no Miss America in the set.

Maybe the person who submitted the list got confused by the America chants after the instrumental part of SMB.

Makes a lot more sense. Just don't seeing DDY thinking that Miss America is a must have to the set list!

This does seem more like a mistake. This reminded me a clip I saw on YT where Dennis was performing at The House of Blues, I think. He was taking requests for songs and someone shouted out Miss America. The response and look on Dennis' face was priceless.

Dennis doesn't believe any JY song is a must hear for those that go to his shows.

He has said as much when he describes his show since August has joined the band.

August has allowed him to give Styx fans the songs that best represent the music of Styx by it's principle songwriters.

yes I am paraphrasing.

If Dennis thought the fans wanted to hear a JY song, do you think he would leave it out of his set?

Yes I do. Because he also said that prior to finding August he felt he didn't have someone in his band that could do justice to those songs and reproduce them "faithfully". The same could be applied to Miss America.

Boom - don't know where this love has come from for Miss Anerica, but its hardly an essential Styx song. If Dennis thought it was, he'd stick it in his set list. In my 30+ years of listening to the radio, I've NEVER heard it played on any commercial radio station.

Surprisingly I have heard Miss America on the radio many times. This includes numerous moves across the US at many different radio stations. I have heard Snowblind more and still hear Snowblind. Been several years since I have heard Miss America but I have heard it. JY songs I have heard on commercial radio: Rock & Roll Feeling, Miss America, Snowblind, Homewrecker (when Edge was new).

It's got nothing to do with "love" for MA or if it is or isn't a essential Styx song. It's about putting words in DDY's mouth.
