The closest show is Atlanta, about 4 hours from here on a weekday...if it was just Toto playing a full set, it'd be a no-brainer (I've driven down there & back in a night for Springsteen a few times now), but the Michael McDonald thing (and thus Toto playing a shorter set) kind of puts the kibosh on this. Wish they were coming to Nashville...the musician population alone would fill wherever they played.

I've heard this time around it is a double headline show and Toto will be playing a full set. I hope this is correct.

"Full set" is a relative term. From my experience, these 'co-headline' things generally mean about 70-odd minutes for the first band and slightly longer for the second band. 4 hours each way (in one night) is a bit much for 70-75 minutes. Toto is a Top 10 all-time band for me, but I have my limits. It's easier to justify that trip for Bruce when you know it's just the Boss for 3+ hours.
I'm sure McDonald is a nice guy, and I know he's talented, but I just have zero interest in him. But these kind of tours aren't meant for people like us, they're meant for the people who just want to hear the hits and go home, that's where the money is, I guess. (Same reason I love Kiss & Def Leppard, but don't really have interest in seeing them as a package tour)
