That 70's Show - Styx

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Mon Oct 25, 2004 11:41 pm

A wonderful friend found this information on "That 70's Show".

---Pass the mashed potatoes and gravy as THAT '70s SHOW cooks up some Thanksgiving vittles the night before the big feast on Wednesday, Nov. 24 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT). On the "You Can't Always Get What You Want" episode, Kitty is crestfallen that the kids have plans of their own for Thanksgiving dinner - Eric has tickets to a Styx concert, and Hyde has his store's grand opening. Tim Reid returns as Hyde's biological father.---

I have no idea if it's just a reference of Styx that will be used or if one of their songs will be played.

Just thought I'd pass the info :)

thanks for the info suite
For those of you have not watched this is a very funny show. The actor who plays Red Foreman, is an absolute scene stealer...and Donna's nerdy father with the Mike Brady hair do having Brooke Shields and Tanya Roberts fighting over him was hysterical. The young actors on the show are all very talented. During scene changes, there are always great 70s songs played to segue way into the next scene. I do recall, Light Up being played during one of those. The subject of that song, tends to be a sudtle joke played out by the cast in a circle scene during all the episodes.

I don't know if anyone is on here right now, but That's 70's Show is on and it started out with "Eric" singing to "Grand Illusion". There were a few Styx jokes already and I'm sure there will be more since they're focusing on Eric going to the Styx concert.

It was a pretty funny show.Everybody seemed ashamed of being Styx fans.
They just played a snippet of the song 'Grand Illusion'
a couple of times.I did not see any members from the band, unles the milkman was Tommy or Dennis.
Fun show fershure.

JY was the milkman...

Never..the..less-it was great as the show opened to hear the opening words from one of the best songs ever created and to keep seeing the best album ever created shown over and over and over and over. :P

Nope, he's working on that "I Am the Walrus" Video. When asked if he needed that old walrus costume to get "in character" he was told no,
it was not necessary. He could carry it off just fine without the costume.
