I said next season, not this season. And FOX is absolutely a graveyard for genre TV shows. People forget that even The X-Files performed unremarkably until it was moved to Sundays after The Simpsons. Let's count the scifi/fantasy shows which FOX shit canned prematurely - The Tick, Dark Angel, Sliders, Terminator, VR5, Brimstone, Roar, Firefly, Dollhouse, Harsh Realm, Millennium, Lone Gunmen, Terra Nova etc. etc.
I know what you said. I think you're writing off
Gotham way too soon. I've been watching it and it's very good, not cheesy or campy at all. I'm not saying it's the best all-time television drama that's ever been, but Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Robin Lord Taylor are doing a bang-up job.
Gotham is set in the Batman universe, which automatically makes it more marketable than a lot of things.
The Tick was hilarious and unfairly relegated to the discard pile. Wasn't
Sliders on for something like five years?
The Lone Gunmen should have been given another chance but I don't think it rated too highly.
You'll get no sympathy from me about those other shows, though
Terra Nova started off alright. Stephen Lang is a great actor in my book. I'm no fan of
Firefly, though. Sorry!
