DDY/STYX Concert TX Postponed

Postby yogi » Fri Jan 16, 2015 11:29 pm

Entire family was going to go see Dennis tonight near Dallas. We were linking last night during American Idol and were about to purchase tickets when we read that the show was postponed until April 23 due to DDY illness. It was a last minute decision to go but now I'm actually pretty bummed out because there is no way we can attend the April show.

Hope Dennis gets well soon. I'm sorry my family & I wont get a chance to see him this round.

SP- Not sure if the Houston show tomorrow night was also cancelled.

I think I saw somewhere online that Tom Sharpe would be absent from the band for a while. Not sure if this is true and/or if it is related to these postponed shows. It is disappointing to those looking forward to the shows. However, if it was me I would rather see DDY and his band at 100% then struggling through a performance just because they are obligated to do so.

Just read that the band was moving on without Dennis. Wow wonder who they are gonna get to front them? Look for another lawsuit cause these guys intend to keep the current band name.

Outside of the Dez's catch being ruled a non catch this is the craziest thing I've ever seen. Since Dennis is sick and cant tour HIS band is moving on without him. Sebiastian Bach will now front the band who its members say want a 'heavier' sound.

So 'Dennis DeYoung' and The Music Of Styx will no longer have Dennis DeYoung. CRAZY. Almost as crazy as the first time Dennis was removed because of an illness.

They are doing the right thing.
Rumour has it ,that Dennis has an ingrown nail. For you and me it would take us a day or so to be able to tour.
But the last time it happened to Dennis he could not tour for 8 months.

Seb is a great fit.He is an avid finesse user and is huge in Quebec.

An inside source has said that the actual reason was due to Dennis' refusal to put out a line of jewelry, beverage and pet accessories.

Tom Sharpe just announced that he's no longer in the band. Seems like just a matter of wanting to do other things- understandable since he recently released a new album of his own music.
