T.O.(Kind Of) - DREAM THEATER -'The ASTONISHING'

Dream Theater will debut their new album 'The Astonishing' in its entirety in Europe starting in February. The album is due out in early 2016. The bands last 3 albums have all debuted in the Billboard top 10. With their last album 'Dream Theater' debuting at number 7. The 'Dream Theater' album also debuted in the top 10 in 13 other countries was #1 in Finland, #2 in Germany & Italy, and in the top 5 in France and Japan. Add to this that their last two albums which came out in 2011 and 2013 have had songs( 'On The Backs of Angels' and 'Enemy Inside') that have both been nominated for Grammy awards in the 'hard rock category'.

Not bad for a band that came out in 1985. This band stayed 100% true to their progressive/hard rock roots and never fell into the 'hit factory/ flavor of the month' trap. It sure makes me wonder about Styx and the follow up approach/direction they took after the Pieces Of Eight album??

What a concepts, playing an album in its entirety & putting out new material for your die hard fans every two years NO MATTER WHAT.
