You never responded to my post about your misguided claim of Dennis’s reliance on the past regarding his music. Why? I thought I made some valid points.

Regarding your renegotiating question in a word no Dennis did not.
JY and Dennis have said in interviews that all royalties from record sales and concerts etc were always split evenly including 1996 and 1997. Except Todd. When Tommy came back they gave him an equal share. Dennis has said this does not include the current band where Tommy and JY split the money evenly and the others are paid as employees. If Dennis came back it would most likely be split three ways. Though who knows. Dennis has said constantly it’s not about money but the fans and the Styx legacy. Watching Pardo I see the love, passion and respect he has for Styx and especially the guys he worked with. He gives respect and credit. The other members have acted shamefully. Yogi has spoken the truth. Only deniers look away.
It just feels like you’re looking for ways to denigrate Dennis by bringing up renegotiating with the hope that bad Dennis was being financially unfair. I hope I’m wrong.

I'm pretty sure Styx is incorporated the same way most of these bands are. So, yeah, at the end of the lawsuit Dennis was probably kicked out of the corporation that either owned the Styx trademark, or had a license to use it. What I would guess is that at the end of the lawsuit a new corporate entity was created without Dennis and only Tommy and JY. Yes, the rest of the band were "employees" of that corporation. For the band to add a new member to the corporation, they would most likely create a new corporate entity and include the new member. This is probably what Dennis would demand and probably where Tommy and JY would tell him to fuck off because they would never allow him to have any such power. He would either join as a temporary member getting paid what Gowan, Todd, Ricky, and Chuck are - or not at all. He has no power to get anything more than that...and it's pretty obvious that Tommy and JY do not even want Dennis as a paid employee of Styx.

Man in car speaks again in ignorance with no actual knowledge and now he acts like a man of contract law. This is the funniest thing he ever posted. Using these phrases as conclusive proof of nothing. Your honor if it please the court, “I’m pretty sure”, “probably”, “what I would guess” “most likely” 2 more “probabilities and finally “it’s pretty obvious what Dennis would demand”, of course it is, to someone who spends most of his time in his car hating and trolling Dennis DeYoung.

Yogi please remind this troll that Tommy quit Styx on stage at the Capital Center on June 2nd weeks before the Cotton Bowl Jun 18. Disproving the Hagar BS
quote claiming what Tommy said to him was either wrong or a boast or Tommy trying to look like a big man just got the dates mixed up due to his out of control lifestyle. This has been pointed out and proved once before.

Sean can’t recall, It could be all the carbon monoxide poisoning, this happens when you spend so much time in your car. And like the lie about Styx being booed it is disproved.

I barely post here these days. That being said- I'm not sure I agree with u. Listen to ANY interview since the split (Definitely the Pardo interview) and a good portion of his music. So much of it is about the past. It IRKS me that Dennis rarely speaks of August, Jimmy, etc. but ALWAY about JY and Tommy. Look- I LOVE Dennis. Always have, though I disagree with him on some things in the way he frames stuff. Really- I'm a fanboy and have been since I first saw them so many freaking years ago. I'm a diehard. I prefer Styx's music both then and now to what Dennis is producing now, but I've always supported Dennis and anybody that knows me, knows what a diehard Dennis guy I am. I buy it. I listen to it. But it doesn't grab me as a whole as much as it used to. BUT... Seriously- If I was August and I kept reading 'Tommy Tommy Tommy Tommy'.... I'd seriously get a complex... There's nothing Dennis can do to change things without JY, Tommy, & Chuck's buy in, so, PERSONALLY, I wish that he'd move on from what WAS to what IS. It's just my opinion and it means nothing. I would like to hear about his stuff now. I've GOT so many of those old interviews and have heard them over the years. I want to hear about the process and his inspirations NOW. I get it- from his POV, he got the shaft. Ok... but man- after so long, to hold that. That can't be good for him. I think that the light sensitivity stuff was just kind of the final straw for these guys. I know u love him. I do too. I mean no disrespect, but seriously- as he said - get over the 'he said, they said' and just enjoy the music.

I know you’re a fan of Dennis I’ve seen you sing SMB and you do it far better than Gowan. By far and I mean that. And you are not a troublemaker simply a fan But!

“The light sensitivity stuff was kinda like the last final straw”. Are you saying becoming seriously ill was the last straw? How so? What were the other straws?
Please don't hold unto the nonsense surrounding Babe, Roboto Cotton Bowl that they created in 2000 on BTM. That was only a ruse to re litigate issues from 27 years ago that no longer existed. All that was simply an excuse to the fans as to why he needed to be replaced.

They had just completed two very successful reunion tours and were recording a new album when Dennis became ill. Instead of light sensitivity why don’t you choose the disease or accident that in your opinion would legitimately cause the tour to be delayed so Dennis could recover. A 6 months delay would have meant nothing.

The tours in 1996 and 97 were only possible because Dennis had the idea to contact Tommy to record Lady 95. I know big deal. The band and Dennis completely rearranged their plans for making their studio album with Tommy in 1997 to accommodate Tommy’s money problems. Was that the last straw? No. Not even waiting for Shaw for 13 years was. C
What did Dennis do in 98, oh right he got sick. Shame on him. The last straw

Dennis talks about the past because this is what interests the interviewers. In the Pardo interview Dennis keeps saying don’t forget about my new album. Recently Tommy and JY were publicly outed by KSHE radio about their “ don’t ask any questions about Dennis” policy that has been going on for years. The interviewers do it anyway. Their past is infinitely more important and always will be. The 13 years between Cyclorama and Mission what did Styx talk about, we’re coming to your town to play, I Am the Walrus, and Big Bang and those aren’t even their past. Oh and Dennis ruined the band.

I love Dennis’s band more than the current Styx and have said so but they didn’t have that much to do with his last two albums. Dennis’s band is essentially a greatest hits band and there is not much left to be said other than their great.
Mike Morales played the most and August sang the most according to Dennis interviews. Frontiers didn’t sign Dennis to have other people sing.

Dennis has said becoming ill not only resulted in his losing his place in Styx but also delayed the second production of Hunchback from which it never fully recovered.
Obviously it was a huge mistake that Dennis got sick, what was he thinking.

I read this and all I conclude is that Dennis must be the most arrogant asshole that has ever lived. EVERYTHING is everybody elses fault. EVERYTHING bad that has happened to him was caused by other people victimizing him. That he had NO control over his own life. The bad decisions were everybody elses, the good decisions were all his.

What an asshole. Seriously, why would ANYBODY want anything to do with this guy? As soon as he could claim victim, you would be at risk of being blamed for it. Every decision made you would be at risk of being blamed if it turned out bad, and given zero credit if it turned out good.

And, the worst part is that he thinks that everybody wants to hear him whine about his 40yr old story. Just ridiculous crap.

I really don't think you can describe a more toxic person.

The only people who think badly about Dennis are BATHWATER drinkers who believed the lies Tommy, JY and Chuck spread in order to cover up their despicable treatment of a sick colleague.

After being being replaced in a coup he remained silent for over two years. Only after BTM did he speak.
The reason he talks about what happened is because of a constant very public 21 year campaign to discredit him professionally and personally. JY spent his valuable interview time publicly shaming him. Keeping the wound in public view. The reason they did this is because of the angry, passionate and very vocal fan based they destroyed who asked them questions and got lies for answers.

He is an actual victim but does not act that way, he picked himself up an created a incredibly successful solo career.
Read the comments on the Pardo interview to see how people feel about him, many who are not even Styx fans. They are raves. Only BATHWATER water drinkers feel differently. The commenters say over and over that he’s humble considering his talents in most all his interviews. But not those who drank the kool aid. They see arrogance where others see humility.

Sean Monker Morrison sad man in car says,
“I really don’t think you can describe a more toxic person”
Are you thinking what I’m thinking, oh yes we can.

I am reacting to YOUR post, YOUR words.

After being being replaced in a coup he remained silent for over two years. Only after BTM did he speak.

Not true. It seems I remember his "speaking" in the BTM. Oh, and whining and crying and blah, blah, blah'ing around like a vampire in the sunlight.

The reason he talks about what happened is because of a constant very public 21 year campaign to discredit him professionally and personally.

The only "campaign" I see is the one being waged by the Queen B. herself.

JY spent his valuable interview time publicly shaming him. Keeping the wound in public view. The reason they did this is because of the angry, passionate and very vocal fan based they destroyed who asked them questions and got lies for answers.

LOL. I just read a post by you saying that banning questions about DDY has been going on for years. So, on the one hand you claim some conspiracy that the band refuses to talk about him. On the other you claim there is a conspiracy that they talk about him too much.

The truth is that whatever the band does with this topic you are going to claim is wrong and Dennis is being victimized yet again. It's ridiculous crap from you, and Dennis. Get over it already.

He is an actual victim but does not act that way

YES HE DOES!! Everything negative that happens to him is somebody elses fault. That is being a victim. He takes ZERO responsibility for it. He doesn't move on...and bitches and moans about things from DECADES ago. He then switches roles himself to being a persecutor and calls them all liars, calls Styx fans "bathwater drinkers", he takes swings at whoever he can. He is a classic drama queen and someone who WANTS to be a victim.

he picked himself up an created a incredibly successful solo career.

Until he started playing rib fests for free...then he decided to replace everybody in Styx and do his own version of a Styx tour. His solo career failed. I spose that's Tommy and JY's fault, too.

I have listened or read almost all of Dennis’s interviews but this one just might be my favorite. It’s well over two hours long in 2 parts and he covers a variety of Styx related issues, many never formerly addressed. It’s fascinating.
The regard in which he holds his fellow band mates is remarkable given the lies they have told about him and his music. Always funny and so down to earth the comments section is filled with high praise for him. Best interview ever of a rock star is repeated over and again. Even those who don’t care for Styx speak out in glowing terms, some who have decided to give the band a second look based upon liking him.

The Todd Sucherman story about JY not wanting Todd for Styx in 1996 but instead wanting the drummer in his JY group was fascinating. Like with Tommy, Dennis instantly new talent when he heard it and acted. Tommy was not involved with that decision but has benefitted greatly by having Todd. JY too.
Dennis really gives Pete Pardo the host some hysterical thoughts on what he calls prog noggins and especially the back story on all the Wooden Nickel Records. This podcast is about prog and heavy metal yet Dennis slyly pokes fun concerning the word “cheesy” as a negative term and the host Pete Pardon to his credit loved it with everyone having a good laugh.
Dennis breaks down song styles vs. arrangement in very understandable terms even for us non musicians and credits his band mates idea for things he himself has been credited for.
The only way you can listen to this man in interview after interview and square it up by the way he’s been portrayed since 2000 is if you listen with your head submerged in BATHWATER. Your turn “drinkers” speak up we know who you are and we know you will.

Watching any recent Tommy interview compared to any recent Dennis interview and it’s clear Dennis was the leader of Classic Styx. Tommy is now the leader of the new Styx just like I’ve been saying for a long time. Those who have refuted this admit you were wrong. You won’t.
And JY? You only have to watch him on stage on YouTube since they have returned to concerts with Tommy’s pal WE playing guitar as I also predicted he would.

CS are you seriously curious about my feelings about COTC.

Doesn't really matter if you like it or not. This is one of the best Styx albums period. This is what I had hoped and expected Cornerstone would have been after POE. Instead we got an Air Supply album. COTC is the best Styx album since 1978!

Air Supply, why not Live At The Copa? Are you now Shaw’s personal emissary and PR guy. We all know you are.
You must have been restrained in hand cuffs not to mention Barry. You are not a serious person. How’s this, Air Supply sings Eddy and Borrowed Time. I believe I have that as a bootleg. If you want to be taken serious try acting that way.

Historically and not coincidentally Genesis who was a serious prog group began recording Duke in 1979 which began their long journey away from Prog to pop. Which only resulted in them becoming incredibly more successful. Success is the goal CS not your narrow definition of music.

Journey. In 1977 Columbia Records ask them to change their musical style to a more pop sound and get another lead singer along with Rolie because their Proggie stuff wasn’t selling. In walks Perry in 77 then in 1978 with a more pop Rock sound they gradually make history.
If you had been in charge then no one would even know Journey. Remember Dennis did not suggest musical changes until 1979.

Kansas in 1979 releases Monolith that sells I million. Their Previous album Left Overture sold 4 million. Ouch! Is this a trend?
Styx 1979 CORNERSTONE sells 3 million it’s previous album PO8 3 sells million. No change in sales and it would have sold more without Shaw’s selfish interference.

Yes’s Tormato a prog album sells 1 million in 1978 Drama in 1980 doesn’t make gold. In 1983 90125 with the clever pop rock hit OOALH track sells 3 million.
Hit singles sell albums for these bands.
Dennis led Styx away from any dip in loss of sales.

Facts
Cornerstone has the two most watched Styx videos on YouTube. Why CS why?
And BOTR wasn’t even played in the US.

CORNERSTONE Damn that Dennis Dictator. He ruined everything, get over yourself CS.

Why didn’t Tommy or JY write more songs like the ones on PO8 you’re beloved, no one was stopping them? In fact Never Say Never was the first song written for Cornerstone we’re you aware of that.? Dennis in an interview said they demoed it in several studios before they settled on Pumpkin. And Cornerstone was Shaw’s title. Ooh that mean dictator Dennis.
Why was there no Queen of Spades or GWH BCM or Renegade oops sorry Renegade wasn’t a rock song at first. Wake up.

Eddy, Lights, Borrowed Time, Love in the Midnight, Never Say Never, could have easily been on many of the previous Styx albums. Even Pete Prog Pardo agreed.
The actual leader of the band expanded their audience and saved them from fake prog oblivion by slowly transitioning.
Then-he went further in it’s expansion with PT. No prog left. Buh bye. PT was their biggest tour ever because they piggy backed the Prog people the rock people the pop people and the ballad people into one entity. PT is their second biggest seller and Styx haven’t even played BOT but once in the last 21 years. Actually who wants to give you know who another chance to ruin a great song. You went to PT didn’t you?

Have you never noticed that Prog bands are in short supply in the Rock and Roll hall of fame, I know who cares.
Critics hate prog, we agree they’re idiots,. And that prog has been relegated to a small, loud but meaningless niche of guys, yes guys like you, that began around 1979. Through it all Dennis lead the way to continued success despite your narrow musical views. I’m repeating myself.

And today? Pop is King and ballads. I’m not a proponent of this mostly junk just an observer.

By the way tell Todd that he’s lucky Dennis was in charge in 1996. Otherwise can you say Kenny Hark? Kenny Hark, Kenny Hark now click your heels 3 times.

You are truly ignorant of such things. I'll just speak to two of the examples above.

Genesis changed because Peter Gabriel left. They were FORCED to change. The artsy Gabriel drove those early days of Genesis...and they could NOT continue on the Progressive's route without him. PHil Collins filled in the role because somebody had to...and lucky for Genesis that Collins became an instant success. But, this was in no way designed that way.

Your example of Yes is laughable. Drama saw key players leaving and being replaced, including Jon Anderson. When the band came back for 90125, Steve Howe had left. The follow-up, Big Generator, was no where near as successful, and is arguably MORE pop than 90125. Jon Anderson quit again and Yes started to become overshadowed by ABWH, an alternative more traditional Progressive version of the band - Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman, and Steve Howe. They ended up coming back together as one giant reunion and releasing the "Union" album which was back to their more Progressive ways...selling slightly more than Big Generator.

I believe Kansas has a similar story...where they had key members quit and were forced to change their sound because of it.

Styx hasn't been a true Progressive band since "Serpent Is Rising"...until CotC. Grand Illusion and PO8 are not real Progressive music. They have "progressive" elements but they are not really part of the "Progressive" genre...there is a big difference.

And, you are just wrong about Progressive music being such a small niche of men. There are many Progressive metal bands out there, many of them being fronted by women. Some of those women have absolutely incredible voices to a point where they could have chosen any genre of music and been successful, even opera.

There is a point where a band can lose their own integrity by chasing $'s. That is what I think the argument is here. Completely turning to pop music from being a rock band caused Styx to lose their integrity.

IMO, CotC is a return to the musical integrity that Styx deserves. It is much better than anything after Po8...and is arguably better than GI and PO8. That is a truth that is impossible for you to swallow.

The success of COTC and miserable failure of VOL.2 is driving you nuts! I predicted this would happen. Styx has moved on and continues to successfully evolve while DDY lives in the past and flounders.

CS or Can’t Speak. To the facts.
When you can’t argue the facts change the subject. C change S subject that’s you! Your pal Todd for instance. No comment because it’s true about J and Kenny Hark. Proving what leadership and talent evaluation Dennis possesses.
I have left out the Y on purpose because Tommy has neutered him, just watch the new live videos of their recent shows. Will up front like I predicted and you resisted. And there’s J like a statue looking unhappy, a man without a country. The second Coup has begun.
This is fun.

You are the one who denigrated Dennis and 3 million Styx fans by comparing Cornerstone to Air Supply. And you want to be taken seriously. Nice going.
That’s on you. The fall of Prog is there for you to see but you look away and say hey look over here Dennis is Manilow. Thanks Shaw. All the while Babe and BOTR lead the way on YouTube. From you we get silence because the facts are the facts. Even Pete Pardo admitted that the late 70’s were the death knell for prog.

Regarding “Queen B” that’s me, and the idea that their success is “driving me nuts” I say baloney.
For the record all I did was read the Pete Pardo interview posted by Styx guy and commented positively like over 500 others had on YouTube. Facts. I dare you to read them, they see the real man and they like him.

Then the only remaining truly sick person on this site could not stand for any of us to hear positives about Dennis. So predictable.
Then it was your turn with your Air Supply nonsense. How dare you insult millions of Styx fans with your paid political views. So I only responded.
I assume you do not want my COTC review?

“Off with their heads” Queen B has spoken. Lol.

Not sure if you saw the link I posted in another thread here this morning to a new interview with JY. I did not realize JY's wife is now and invalid and requires 24/7 care mostly provided by JY himself. He only leaves to do a concert and to record his parts for COTC. He said the band is doing most of their writing and recording in Nashville now and he cannot get away for all of those things. At least he is willing to tour under these dire circumstances and is not asking the band to wait, especially after they just recorded a new album! Seems I've heard that somewhere before........ He also mentioned that he and his wife will be married 50 years next year. Check out the interview.

I posted what I thought about the interview with JY and left the part out about his wife on the other thread. I’m so very sorry to hear about JY’s wife, that’s sounds awful and sad. My heart goes out to her.

Dennis wife wasn’t ill, he was, so how is that even relevant? Are you turning into a troll as well.
What JY and Shaw did was turn their backs on a sick colleague for money. Pure and simple.
Did he or Shaw shed a tear after replacing him and virtually destroying his ability to make money off of the Styx name. Dennis had to completely restart his career.
While TMB as they were known Two Man Band lived off of the Styx name that Dennis was most responsible for building.

No need to worry about DDY. As he put it, "I have mail box money... I'm not just a bass player". He is such an arrogant SOB.

What JY and Shaw did was turn their backs on a sick colleague for money. Pure and simple.

No, it's not that simple.

Dennis had been overly distracted by Hunchback for years and was not deliverying to Styx what was needed to be a successful band. His overall contribution to BNW was mediocre at best.

He did not back Tommy up in delaying the album due to his own illness which resulted in the band being forced to record the album and wait on him to tour - which is what would have been avoided if he had just waited.

He sued the band.

Did he or Shaw shed a tear after replacing him and virtually destroying his ability to make money off of the Styx name.

This is a flat out lie. Part of the reason he sued the band is because he believed he was not being paid correctly for what he was owed for the band using the Styx name. He makes money off the Styx name every time Styx performs a concert with songs he owns the copyright for and where they sell Styx merchandise...and whatever else the settlement says he must be paid for.

Dennis had to completely restart his career.

Also a flat out lie. He continued promoting Hunchback and used his PBS tour to try to get a PBS funded production. He toured on his solo songs which included Hunchback...which were featured in his shows.

While TMB as they were known Two Man Band lived off of the Styx name that Dennis was most responsible for building.

This type of arrogance is another reason why he is not in the band.

But, in the end, Tommy, JY and Chuck won the lawsuit and have moved on. You and no one else here has been in the group, so we have no idea what actually occurred between all of them when they were together. We can debate what we think went on between them forever. It will not change a single thing. You want some of us to change our thoughts on this and we feel the same about you. It's never going to happen so why bother? It's long past time to move on and be over it.

I think it is hilarious how much hate there is towards DDY, I never realized it before, I always thought most of you were just putting on airs as just sarcasm. DDY's ability to write hit songs and bring in Barry Manilow and Air Supply fans really bothers you guys that much? I personally have always enjoyed a good Barry Barely Manenough and Air Supply has written some great songs, I suggest you go check out their entire catalog, some hidden gems you may have overlooked. Oh wait if someone hears you listening to Air Supply they will conclude that you are not Manenough I suppose and I think this is truly what it is all about. "Come on everybody let's Soft Rock!!" Soft Rock On Man!!!! Crash of the Crown is closer to Air Supply than you might think. Tommy seems to have forgotten that all we want to do is rock. This album is really not that great. Cyclorama was better.

Making Love Out Of Nothing At All rocked and I mean that. Not a big Air Supply fan at all, but I love that song. It sucked one of those dudes fell off the stage at the MN State Fair.

Also as far as Manilow goes, nothing & I mean nothing could put my daughter to sleep for close to 2 years after she was born in 99. I spent damn near every night driving around Uvalde, TX listening to Barry’s Greatest hits til she would finally fall asleep in her car seat. Don’t know for sure but I think Even Now was her favorite Manilow song because she still likes it. If I was lucky and smooth enough I could get her out of the car seat and back into the house & into her crib after about an hour plus of driving. If not, and she woke up on the transfer, it was back into the car for more Manilow. Every night it was like playing a game of Operation.

Damn do I miss the shit out of that now!

That's because it is a Steinman song, and Meat Loaf could have done it. It could have easily fit on one of the Bat Out Hell albums...perfectly.

The lawsuit was a settlement, there was no court nor judge no ruling. In theory no one wins it’s a compromise. Another lie born of ignorance spread on the internet.

Your opinions about Dennis over the years have been formed by listening to lies that you heard from Tommy, JY, Chuck and their surrogates. If you didn’t like Dennis’s musical contributions and believed that before 1999 he needed to be replaced that’s fine. I have no quarrel.
But that’s not the case and you know it. Did you see the 96 and 97 concerts and think that they should replace Dennis?
Your “move on” comment. The reason this issue still remains is due to Shaw, Young and Panozzo who have kept it in the news since 2000. Dan Rather anyone. This causes responses from Dennis and Styx fans.

Groteful next time you read or hear something insulting said about Dennis imagine your name in his place. What would you do ignore it? After reading your comments on this forum it’s apparent you would fight back.
You won’t “change your thoughts” because that would mean having to admit you were duped. And you were. If you prefer Tommy’s Styx better that’s ok and I mean it. But have the decency to admit you were lied to.

This is just pure ignorance. You are telling me that the state of IL does not have a court? Of course there was a court and a judge. Dennis filed his lawsuit to the court. Both sides presented evidence. One side (I can't remember which) even filed for a "summary judgement", which means they were asking the judge to take the evidence as presented and make a ruling...and that, IMO, pushed things into being settled.

So, you saying there was no court or judge is just NOT TRUE.

Yes, they arrived at a settlement...but there ABSOLUTELY a case being handled by the court and a judge. The case was just settled out of court and dismissed.

It is due to YOU. YOU are the one who pushed it on this forum - nobody else.

No they didn’t. Winning implies either a judge or jury were involved and a verdict was reached. No court, nor judge made a ruling is factually correct. It was settled out of court between the parties lawyers.

**In law, a settlement is a resolution between disputing parties about a legal case, reached either before or after court action begins. The term also has other meanings in the context of law. Structured settlements provide for future periodic payments, instead of a one time cash payment**

Stop your bullshit.

Dennis sued to force them to stop touring because he claimed a 1990 agreement said that all five members had to agree on doing such things and it was damaging Styx legacy and reputation, and he claimed some $'s from the tour. Styx counter sued because Dennis was touring as "The Voice of Styx" and they wanted him to stop.

Styx filed a summary judgement...meaning, they wanted it to come to an end, they had confidence in their case and were willing to let a judge rule on the evidence. Dennis settled with Styx rather than have a judge decide the case.

Dennis did NOT stop Styx from touring. He lost. He had to STOP touring as "The voice of Styx", he lost. He may have gotten some money from the tour, but he lost everything else. If he had ANY confidence in his case, he would not have settled and he would have let the judge decide the case.

That is what happened. Swallow it.

Basically Styx would have won the suit if it hadn't been settled out of court. Tommy, JY and Chuck have the rights to Styx. Dennis settled because he knew he would have lost.

As far as Dennis and his actions within the band, Derek Sutton and Jim Vose both have the history with the band and know what occurred behind the scenes and there is plenty of evidence of Dennis' behavior. You, I and no one else here know. Let it go.

EXACTLY. And, you don't file a Summary Judgement if you think there is much possibility to have things go against you. And, you don't settle so quickly after a summary judgement is filed unless you are expecting to lose and you want to give control over your fate to a judge.

They filed the summary judgement not Dennis they feared the trial. Not Dennis. Mr. facts in his car. Look who opens his ignorant “pie hole” and tells us why Styx was afraid of a trial because people would testify to Dennis’s value.

**A summary judgement occurs when, in a civil case, one party wants to move to a court decision without trial.. In other words, the judge has reviewed the undisputed facts of the case, along with any acceptable evidence provided by each party to support their argument and sees no point in having a trial**

You are so ignorant about things. You don't ask for a summary judgement to avoid a trial. In this case, character witnesses probably would be objected to and not even allowed. Dennis' character has NOTHING to do with the 1990 agreement and if it applies. It has NOTHING to do with if he is owed money from the tour. It has NOTHING to do with him being about to tour as "The Voice of Styx". You are simply inventing motives with your deranged mind.

A summary judgement is filed when the evidence is so one sided that it is a waste of time to go to trial. A JUDGE can file a summary judgement if he chooses. All you have to do is look at the SETTLEMENT. Dennis caved on almost EVERYTHING. He lost his ability to tour as "The Voice of Styx". Basically, all points about the 1990 agreement were thrown out...they continued to tour as Styx. The ONLY thing he 'won' is getting money from the tour. If there was ANY hope of winning those issues, he would have taken it to trial. Instead, Dennis gave in...and has been whining and crying about it ever since. He is such a manipulator and control freak he is STILL trying to fight this case.

In addition, the judge does not have to accept the motion. The judge would make the decision if there was any question of the verdict. If there was, it would go to trial. If the judge felt the evidence was overwhelming on one side...he could allow the summary judgement because the other side had no chance of winning.

That is what happens during summary judgement. Lucky for Dennis, he caved and settled...or the judge may have simply dismissed the case and gave Dennis NOTHING. This was a move by Styx to force the end of this case...they wanted to move on...and now they were moving on without ANY hope of Dennis ever returning. The settlement may as well have been a divorce decree.

It will not change a single thing. You want some of us to change our thoughts on this and we feel the same about you. It's never going to happen so why bother? It's long past time to move on and be over it.

Judge Judy speaks. “Basically”, you say. Are you studying legal terms with “man in car”.
There was a lawsuit by Dennis and then a counter suit by them so both parties needed to come to terms. If they knew Dennis would lose as you claim, why the summary judgement, why not got to trial. Because Styx didn’t want to risk jurors deciding Dennis’s worth to the band is why. Summary judgements are very expensive.

If there’s a trial the jury here’s these questions.
Did dennis sing and write 7 of their 8 top ten hits?
Was he sick when he was replaced?
Did Styx tour for a year and a half using the Styx name and not pay him anything?
Was he a founding member?
Did he write more songs than all other members combined?
Did he sing the most songs?
Does plaintiff $haw have ownership to the name Styx?

Regarding Styx on BTM . Mr. $haw your argument is you objected to his writing the hit Mr. Roboto and the Billboard number 1 People Choice Award million seller Babe? Is that correct? Same question to Young and Panozzo. You are under oath.
Mr. $haw did you quit the band in 1983?
And Mr. $haw in 1979 did you threaten to quit if the song First Time was released? Correct. Was it released. No. Oh so you’re the dictator.

Question to Tommy and JY, I see your argument is Dennis was a dictator? And he forced you to record music you didn’t like. How? Did he physically threaten you, blackmail, or weave magic potions?
How did Dennis actually control the band, by what means.
Wasn’t he kicked out in 1980, how is that control?
It’s always Dennis’s way or the highway. And yet Dennis is on the highway and $haw is now the dictator.

No one wanted a trial they are very unpredictable. They ended up having to pay Dennis a percentage, something they had been refusing to do
For this he gave up ownership to the name.
I suppose he could have chosen to retain ownership of the name and never get paid. That’s an option. They forced the lawsuit by not paying him then slandered him for 21 years.
