I’m hoping they are now playing Hold Back The Darkness & Save Us From Ourselves. Two GREAT GREAT songs.

Maybe 100,000 or even 50,000 physical sales should be gold. I think it would be a more accurate reflection of the industry.

A gold record is out of the question for so many bands now it's ridiculous... and platinum? Ha! A fricken pipe dream. This is not the 70's or 80's. Sales aren't anything like they were. I'm not saying go back and recertify from the start and anyone with albums sales that crossed those thresholds gets an award now. It would need to start from a particular time and everything from that point on. I'd start with 2009. I have no idea why, just seems like it's then I noticed albums that debuted at #1 or #2 still didn't end up going gold. Not even close. More than 100,000 in sales the first week and after that it was difficult to get to 250,000 period. It's just sad.
