Pretty lousy singing, but cool to hear him do "When I See You Smile."
Also does extended bluesy version of DSB, which we all know from Vegas 2001.

Ya know, most people can “sing” but not as many have a voice you want to listen to. Jon is one of those…

Guy has wanted to be a lead singer since the windy city breakdown.
I'm actually shocked the Baby's would record songs with Jon on vox.
I have yet to hear one passable song he singa.

I think Generation's "Every Generation" is the very definition of "passable."

Most of the stuff on "Back To The Innocence" is the same way. Depends on the material.

But singing Perry Journey stuff live is a totally different ballgame.

Cain isn't a great singer. But he's certainly not a bad singer. Should he be singing lead for Journey on more than a rare song? No! But if he wants to sing his own solo material, then there's nothing wrong with that. Although, other than Back To The Innocence, my favorite albums of his are the instrumental only albums.
