Froy / Moline

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Fri Feb 13, 2004 1:23 am

Froy, are you going to Moline on Friday night? I was hoping to go, anything can happen at the last minute :D

That's why I want to see a few more concerts to hear these new songs added. I personally hope that he adds more solo work. I was watching the "Don't Wait For Heroes" video this morning too.

When I first heard "Castle Walls" live, I was totally blown away, with the orchestra and with his band. What a great song live. My husband's favorite song live is "Suite Madame Blue", another great one.

If you go, I hope you have a great time :)

I did hear that his set list will be changing during this tour. I have no idea what will be played in Moline or if anything will be changed this weekend. I did hear that a song from the Pieces of Eight album/cd should be added soon, but I have no clue when. And NO, it won't be Renegade,Sing For The Day, Great White Hope and NO, not another version of Blue Collar Man (Egad). I do know that he won't be singing "Unfinished Song" at any concerts - even though I LIKE that song (Inside joke for my friends that lurk) LOL

Moline is only 2/5 hrs away 200 miles .
If I knew he was going to sing Pieces of 8 I would definitly go .
I wish I could get that answer.
I just want to Hear Back to Chicago again.
BTW I did not know you were of the female gender.
In Chicago I was looking for a guy not a girl.

How do we find out about this ?

Froy, yes, I'm female & married. Maybe with Yogi calling me "Man Hands" throw people off, thanks Yogi!!

I hope that "Back To Chicago" stays in for the weekend. I thought it was a great opener and a huge surprise. I was expecting "Grand Illusion" and he started with "Back To Chicago", perfect.

Talk about not being too smart all you two have to look for is.. first off Froy, look for the good looking blond chick with MASSIVE hands, and Man Hands look for the guy just standing there saying NOTHING. He may be making hand gestures etc.. Hope I helped you out. I heard the song Dennis was adding to his set was 'Crystal Ball'. The song orginally was called 'Crystal Meth' when Tommy joined the group. Dennis changed the name and some of the words. Dennis doesnt get near the credit he should for that song!!!!!!

and Man Hands look for the guy just standing there saying NOTHING.

And to find Yogi look for the guy in the back balcony doing a Pee Wee Herman with his Pee Wee . .

He may be making hand gestures etc.. Hope I helped you out. I heard the song Dennis was adding to his set was 'Crystal Ball'. The song orginally was called 'Crystal Meth' when Tommy joined the group.

Wow, Madame and Froy, you are truly devoted fans of Dennis ! hey, I like the guyand all, but having recently seen his show, I'd have to be given the ability to pick an entire SET of songs for Dennis to play before I'd travel 2-3 hours to see him again.......and you 2 are talking about doing that in the hopes he plays 1 new song !

I hope Dennis appreciates having such loyal fans.......I wonder what percentage of the crowd is devoted to such an extent on any given night ?

No criticism intended here, I just wish I had your level of disposable income !

Interesting point you mention about Dennis and his contribution to Crystal Ball (Meth). Unless you of course are totally kidding. I never heard that he did contribute words. Isn't it Tommy who is always belly aching about the the writing credits in the band? Or does that only apply to the commercial DDY songs?

Lord, I was just kidding. I dish it out a little to all sides unlike MOST people here. I was making fun of some comments Tommy has made(what b.s.). Just like I like poking some fun at his Easy Bake Oven Bride. It's ALL in fun!! I realize there is enough blame to be spread around equally. The four beliefs I will always hold are 1. Styx (now has the TOTAL right to tour(as MUCH as they want), record new material, and use the Styx name. 2. Dennis forced the issue, and basically made Tommy, JY, Chuck(yes Chuck), Todd, and Glen to act how they did in 1999. 3. JY is a LEGEND he has survived it ALL and has been there for EVERY recording and concert EVER played by the band. The reasons dont matter. He has found a way to stick around, get along, and survive despite all the crap. He is the 1 TRUE Styx MAN!!!!!!! 4. There are Many people here who believe they are fans of Styx when they truly were only fans of certain members of the band. These are Type 1 fans I allude to, they NEVER truly loved the band as they claim. Just certain band members. Just like the baseball fan who claimed they LOVED the Boston Red Sox and then when they got rid of Roger Clermens they now cheer against the Red Sox. They were NEVER true Sox fans, They were Roger Clemens fans. And it is the EXACT same thing!!!!!

Yes they have the total right to ruin the Styx name any time any place
And Followers like Yogi will be there to warm up the bath water ,
In fact he will take a bath with his pal JY.

2. Dennis forced the issue, and basically made Tommy, JY, Chuck(yes Chuck), Todd, and Glen to act how they did in 1999.

Forced what issue?
The issue of if you don't pay us for the VW commercial we are going to stab you in the back issue.
Hmm that's really nice of those 2 guys.

3. JY is a LEGEND he has survived it ALL

And that same legend has done the least for the sucsess of the band.

The reasons dont matter. He has found a way to stick around, get along, and survive despite all the crap.

JY your bath is ready
Ok Yogi Ill be right there .
I hope you have that Thong on you reluctant legend you ,
Don't worry Yogi I do .

He is the 1 TRUE Styx MAN!!!!!!! 4.

Is is the number 1 true asshole .

There are Many people here who believe they are fans of Styx when they truly were only fans of certain members of the band.

And there are many who know exactly who the real Styx band is and they do not fall for knock offs for financial gain.
We call these fans poor blind fools

These are Type 1 fans I allude to,

Allude this .

they NEVER truly loved the band as they claim. Just certain band members.

Your right and the band members do not include Larry copycat Gowan
Glen I did not write that about Dennis Burtnick '
And Ricky sure I need the money Phillips .
