If you want to hit those classic STYX songs, how bout those wonderul layered keyboards live on stage, plus the added dimenison of better harmonies. You can hire an unnamed guitarist with twice the talent and half the ego to fill in for the so called "godfather" of STYX. Dreaming you say, maybe not. You get the feeling that JY and Dennis will never play together again. I don't seem to get the same vibe with Tommy and Dennis the two true songwriting masters (yes I said it) in this band. Why necessarily give LG the boot. Nothing is written that two keyboard players/singers cannot exist in the same band. Hell boston toured a few years back with three lead singers on stage. Yes has toured with all components of their long great historical partnerships. Well what are you waiting for ....start the debate!

Classic, I am not sure that Tommy is the biggest supporter of the endless touring, I still maintain that is a JY issue. Of course if he did not commit, you would think that they would have to pull the plug on actually calling this STYX, but logic doesn't seem to always prevail. Cudos to Tommy for gutting it out, but I would think that he must be in better shape financially with the song writing royalties then the reluctant one....

I have heard JY is sooooo poor they cut off the electricity in his trailer, he damn near froze to death this winter. If it wasnt for the warm hotel rooms, and the catered food he would be dead by now. Do you know after the shows are over JY sneaks the left overs back to his hotel room. Then at the end of each tour he smuggles it back home and puts it in his trailer's ice chest. Sometimes, when Styx is not touring and if he has gas money JY will pull his van down by the river, snort coke, and curse the day he sold off all his roalities to Dennis. Next tell us the one about Chuck, the Navy, and all of their financial portfoilos.Pleassse tell us mooore stories Mr & Mr Merrill Lynch.

They were already unhappy with the way the Styx sound was going, and then Kilroy just demolished it. Also makes me wonder how the 80's would've gone with an album similar to Pieces Of Eight (or even Paradise Theater) in lieu of Kilroy Was Here. Not to mention, I think JY and Tommy would've preferred a regular stadium tour versus the theatrical one. (I've watched Caught In The Act, and personally I would've demanded my money back after seeing JY and the Panozzos dancing around the stage during Heavy Metal Poisoning). Anyway, it's all water under the bridge, but I do think some of the regrets and anger come from the Kilroy decisions. Success is a double-edged sword. All the money and popularity probably made it more tempting to go along with Dennis' ideas, even if they didn't care for them artistically.

Do you always drink like that before you post, Mr. Yogi??
