[/quote]quote="mcloud"]I recently saw Mr. I'm so ridiculously feeble that I can't take lights, sound, and apparently rock and roll anymore Deyoung's recent attempt to transform himself back into a musician by surrounding himself with dozens of real musicians, a symphony. This was a PBS special, and apparently there's a DVD for sale of this crap, but I was truly embarrased for Dennis. Mr. Roboto still sounds like dogcrap even with 60 people playing over it. It was a joke! He's not even ready for Atlantic City, yet, but it seems like DDY wants to be a lounge act playing big rooms. He sounded awful, singing out of key. And he looks like a 60 year old woman. Kind of reminds me of Mrs. Doubtfire meets Liberace. Not a good look for him.
Having seen Styx a couple of years ago, I can say they definitely are better off without this "entertainer"

Well, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I guess as a Styx fan for many years, since they played high school dances in Chicago, I'm just a little disappointed that Dennis walked away from the band, and instead chose to became an old man in a suit. I'd rather go see Tony Bennett if that's what I"m in the mood for. I think STyx still sounds great, and the old stuff still sounds great on the radio.
As for looks, I only made the comment on Dennis because it kind of looks like he WANTS to look like Mrs. Doubtfire. I'm sorry, but that's what he looks like. It's hard to take it seriously, I mean Styx with a symphony? I'll give Dennis credit though, his endeavor came off better than Metallica's with a symphony.
Now, as for Drama Queen Die, those farts may not be beautiful creatures, but they can rock. And what's wrong with lots of hair in a rock band? Brings back great memories of a time when guitars ruled.

mcloud wrote:Well excuse me for expressing my views Suite Madame Blue. I've been listening to Styx and seeing them live since I was 8 years old, so bite me. I'm entitled to express my impression of Mr. Deyoung's new look and sound. I don't like it. Okay, so go ahead and bash me and whatever other bands I happen to like, if that makes you feel better. I spoke to JY about the whole Dennis situation about a year ago, so I know more than you care to believe. And I'll take the new Styx without Dennis over the garbage DeYoung is doing now any day of the week. Get over it!
