I thought to add a new "thread" for setlists. I think it would be interesting to see what songs were played by Styx over the years. If anyone has any DDY & DY setlists, add those too

Just add the setlist & year.

I saw Tommy on the 7deadyly Zens tour and I know that he opened with Girls with Guns. It was kind of funny because he came onstage with a flannel shirt, leather pants and a goatee. He then walks up to the mike and says something like "lets start at the beginning" and busts into GWG. I was expecting BCM or Ocean but the next thing you know here is the GWG keyboard part over the pa. The COOL part is the place really dug it. He also played Renegade and an acoustic BCM. He did Ocean as an encore...Stop Knockin', Inspiration, Diamond, and that is all I can remember and honestly that might have been it. The set was very short. Maybe 30 mins.

Kiddo, I have no clue how to add pictures. I've seen other people add pictures after their posts, I have one to add too. I hope to see it soon

I can't find the whole setlists of all the years, but here's just a few tours and a couple of songs. Maybe someone can add more songs to these. I found these on a website so I don't know how true these are:

Equinox Tour: Born For Adventure was the opening song. Lady, Light Up and Suite Madame Blue. Midnight Ride was in the setlist but then was replaced with Lorelei later in the tour.

Crystal Ball Tour: Put Me On was the opening song. Lady, Mademoiselle, Shooz, Ballerina and Crystal Ball. Ballerina was taken out of the setlist due to "cold" response.

Grand Illusion Tour: Grand Illusion was the opener and Come Sail Away was the closer (interesting.......). Fooling Yourself, Miss America, Put Me On, Light Up, Mademoiselle, Suite Madame Blue, Lady, Midnight Ride and Lorelei (last time until 1996). Man In The Wilderness was played only a few times.

Pieces of Eight Tour: The Great White Hope opening song. I'm Okay, Renegade, Blue Collar Man, Queen of Spades, Lady and Crystal Ball. Pieces of Eight and Sing For The Day were played on and off during the tour.

The Grand Decathlon (Cornerstone Tour): Borrowed Time was the opening song. Come Sail Away, Suite Madame Blue, Lady, Renegade, Great White Hope, Babe, Why Me, Eddie, Lights. Blue Collar Man was played occassionally during this tour.

Your set list is close, He didn't perform Show Me The Way and Summertime.. No Back To Chicago..Hello God was added.. The Orchestra opened the show with a medely; Roboto/Lady/Grand Illusion...

DeeJay, "Back To Chicago" was just performed in Chicago, from what I'm finding out. I think the last time he sang "Show Me The Way" was in Appleton, which would've been right before Rockford. At least, I think he sang it there. I know he recently took out "Rockin' The Paradise" at his last few shows. Every show (with the orchestra), the orchestra opens with a medley and then the band comes on and they continue a medley of songs before Dennis comes on. I get goosebumps every time the orchestra begins.

I think Sadie can help me out with the setlists from the Dennis shows

"Sing For the Day" was sung before 1999 in concert. I'm pretty sure I have it on one of my concert tapes. I'm too lazy to go through them

Sadie, thanks for the Main Event setlist. I would love to hear Queen of Spades live. Only to go back in time......

Well, I can tell you the setlists for DDY's concerts have varied a little recently. Perhaps because he had been battling an upper respiratory infection and was not able to sing certain songs as well as he liked. As a rule, his setlists usually include the following material:

Castle Walls
With Every Heartbeat
Ave Maria
Suite Madame Blue
Rockin' The Paradise
Mr. Roboto
Clair de Lune/Don't Let it End
Lorelei

Occasionally he will add either Paradise or Who Will Love This Child, Summertime, and in the case of the Rosemont show Back to Chicago. it was great, and I feel very lucky to live here and hear it live.

I really don't think that they did Sing for the Day on the Main Even tour. They even said when they did it recently that it hadn't ever been done live before. I do have a video promo clip of them doing it.
Queen of Spades was done recently in 97 and also with Gowan. I think they still do that one sometimes.
Have they ever done She Cares live? I know not on the Paradise or Kilroy but maybe since then... Anybody know?

With a closer look since there is not one Styx song I recognize by its name here anyway, this set list has to be from their very early playing out days.

Now that I've found these two CD's.... I'll see what else is on there. Styx is on that same show doing a bunch of their own songs also. I know they did "Not Dead Yet", "Show Me The Way" and a bunch of others.

It sounded like they were truly having a great time and enjoying eachother's company. ::sad::

I also found a live version of "Born For Adventure" and too many live versions of "Crystal Ball".... a lot of it needs to have levels corrected, but otherwise sounds pretty good.

Sorry guys. I think it's Tommy. I listened about 10 more times and am more convinced.

As soon as they finish, you hear Dennis say (in typical Dennis fashion) "What the hell was that? They'll never be able to sing again." OK, it sure is what I am hearing, and I am being outvoted here, but Dennis has a certain sound to his voice and Tommy has a certain sound to his voice......

My opinion here.

It is a FUN group of covers to listen to and thanks again for sharing, Ash.

sounds like we need a Poll. It's Dennis.... just no doubt.. It's got DDY's style... besides - Tommy sang the song before it (Pretty Woman) and they were alternating.... JY just couldn't hit those high notes in his WETTEST DREAM!
