Tommy Shaw Live Album

Postby Ash » Wed Apr 14, 2004 2:26 pm

Interesting.... while looking for that medley I posted elsewhere I found a live album by Tommy Shaw from what seems to be the "What If" tour. Here are the songs:

What If
See Me Now
Boat On The River
Nature Of The Beast
Slow Down (song I've not heard before)
Crystal Ball
Instrumental (about 4 minutes of music - no lyrics - sounds like a jam).

I also found:

Show Me The Way (Gulf War Mix)
Bonestripper (Damn Yankees)
Where You Goin' Now (Live)
High Enough (Live)
Crystal Ball (Live - Styx)
Heavy Metal Poisoning (Live - Not from Caught In The Act)
Unfinished Song

I have a second disc that I've not yet imported into iTunes... I'll report on that later.

Hey Ash, I have that live ep. The song Slow Down is that old cover (the beatles did it and I think Carl Perkins wrote it but I am not sure.

I also own this live Tommy Shaw EP. I HATED the What If album, but the song Nature Of The Beast is EXCELLENT!! I have NEVER heard the 'Show Me The Way' Gulf War Mix. Besides wanting to hear this and wanting to own it on CD I would also love 'Unfinished Song ' on a CD. Anyone out there willing to help me??????

I'll do some posting this weekend

Would an MP3 of Show Me The Way and Unfinished Song that you can burn to a CD be good enough?

Madame, I dont know the "numbers" of the years, but one way to answer your question, what years were they ? would be "the lean ones" I'm guessing ol Tommy's W-2's werent quite as robust as when Styx was going strong.

Of course, that's also probably true for the rest of the boys too....

I know the GWG tour was about 8 mos.
What If? I dunno how long that went on.
He toured Ambition but I think only opening for Rush.... but I am not sure.
He did a 7DZ tour with Frampton and Skynyrd and then the 6 Border shows.
