Wow Space... I almost mentioned Joe Jackson also... I love that guy... an incredible talent who really only had that brief moment during the 80s when he got his due. "Got The Time" has got to be one of my all time favorite songs.

OK, Space you are cheating! LOL! Box sets! Man, I would take that Led Zep set too!
I like Joe Jackson as well. He has some really terrific songs.

I love VH1 Classics so much because I get to see so many videos from artists I had not thought about in years. Joe Jackson is one of them.

I might have to revise my list.....gotta have some Cheap Trick on there, someone stole all of mine out of my car a year ago and I havent replaced it yet.....

One benefit to these list threads, they make you remember groups you dont always think about.

Maybe we should do another one where you are stranded with another person, and you get to list 10 CD's that would be BANNED from the island ???? Those might make for intersting lists....

Sorry Gary and Suite, but your Prince CD's would not be allowed or tolerated on MY ISLAND

LOL Classic. I'm with you there. Not much of a Prince fan (though I can appreciate his contributions to the music industry Gary and Suite).

I think my top 20 would be: (in no particular order)

Beatles: Abbey Road
Journey: Escape
Pink Floyd:Dark Side of the Moon
Styx: Equinox
Styx: Paradise Theater
Dennis DeYoung: Boomchild
Beatles: Let it Be
Journey:Infinity
Rush:2112
Led Zeppelin: IV
Jethro Tull:Aqualung
Def Leppard: Hysteria
Eagles:Hotel California
Yes: 90125
Van Halen: OU812
Kansas: Left Overture
Dennis DeYoung: Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Pachelbel: Canon D

I'll get back to you on the banned albums.

After reading everyone's top 20 list, there were a few that I wish I could add: Cheap Trick (Live at Budakon), Loverboy (Get Lucky) Triumph, Queensryche and especially Wings (Band on The Run).

Well, no offense to almost everyone on here, but I don't really care for the Beatles. I would have to ban any Beatles music - sorry. I somewhat like their solo work, but not as a band.

Classic, I would have to bring a Prince cd for a little dancing on the island

Ash, list is pretty good except for Marilyn Manson, creepy - LOL

DeeJayStyx, Great list, except for the Beatles. :)

IStumbleIn, nice variety, but the Beatles are on your list too

Bugsy, like ya a lot, but sorry, you have too many Beatles - Love the Styx and Dennis selections.

GaryS, again a lot of Beatles and Stones

Classic, nice variety, but again the Beatles

spaceace, quite a variety also, but those Beatles are on your list too

Sadie, like you tons too, but way too many Beatles :D

swwskj, you can stay, no Beatles, great variety, love Huey Lewis-Sports :D

SMB,

Great to hear that I can stay on the island. I tried to keep the variety going by limiting each group to only one album.

For anyone who hasn't heard the Doublevision album by Bob James/David Sanborn let me say this...this is the best sex album EVER!

Now I know I probably shouldn't bring that up but if we were indeed stuck on the island, I for one can Guarantee that unlike Gilligans Island, we would NOT go fifteen years with zero population growth!

I'm not some horndog, but I'm also not naive enough to think that Mrs. Swwskj (the better half that puts the first 'W' into my chrostic) wouldn't be boinking the mailman long before I'm declared legally dead!

That said, I feel a little "mood music" might be in store for those of us lucky enough to survive the cannibal stage.

EK-we have a lot of the same taste.
Also a few votes for 90125. Pretty cool when we are only listing twenty.
Nice that most would take Grand Illusion.

If there was a fire and I could only grab one record/cd it would be Grand Illusion. How 'bout you guys? :D
