I'm definitely going to see Van Halen. That's the only sure plan for me thus far.

So far the only concert I have booked is May 16th Styx, Peter Frampton, and Hanso, I mean Nelson, in San Antonio. Rumor has it the ticket sales for that show have been really really good. There was an article in the SA newspaper about all of the Verizon concerts this summer. In the article it actually talked about the ticket sales for Styx (because they are such an early summer concert), and that they had already sold over 7,500 tickets, and that was probably 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I would REALLY REALLY like to go see the Glen Burtnik/Rik Emmett concert in Atlanta. It's just tooooo damn far to travel. Maybe they will have moore shows. Thats a GREAT combo!!!!!

My wife is actually going to see PRINCE June 10th with a bunch of her friends. I DO like Prince, I liked The Time much better though. They were sooo'COOL'.

Finally, If possible I'd like to see Dream Theater, Def Leppard, Night Ranger, and of course Dennis Deyoung. Hopefully, Dennis will make it to Texas. Other than the above, and maybe a few others I'm staying at home and watching BASEBALL, until our trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Am going to see Dennis in New York next week.

Rumor mills say Simon and Garfunkel are coming to Houston, Texas at some point on their tour. The Everly Brothers are with them. Now THAT I would love to see. So far, there are no listings for this that I can find.

Yogi, if Dennis comes to Texas (also rumored to be doing that) we will have to say hidy.

I don't know how sad this is but the only tickets that I've actually purchased so far are for Hall 'n' Oates/Michael McDonald/Average White Band.

It's for my brothers birthday and the kids get in free. Oh but the pain involved with $7 beers and then my kids taking advantage of the situation and conning me into buying $35 tour shirts.

As for other Charlotte shows: Rush, Fleetwood Mac etc... too expensive.

Van Halen is in Greensboro AND is too expensive.

Atlanta isn't that far for me (4 hours) and I saw a great show a couple of years ago there...Motels/Outfield/Fixx/Asia/Berlin... I'm always up for a roadtrip in case we can get a contingency going!

Bugsy, check again, I heard radio ads today, saying Simon & Garfunkel
are playing in Milwaukee, and tix go on sale Monday. Perhaps they announced the rest of their dates too.

I saw their reunion tour in 1981 at County Stadium in Milwaukee ( now a parking lot for Miller Park, I believe ) It was a great show !

If I see anything this summer it will be that show.

Bugsy,

Here is the Texas information for Simon & Garfunkel:

7/6 Tue Austin, Texas Frank Erwin Center TBA TBA
7/7 Wed Houston, Texas Toyota Center TBA 5/15 noon
7/8 Thu Dallas, Texas American Airlines Center TBA TBA

It doesn't show the Pre-sale or Sale of tickets yet.

Let's see, so far I'm seeing Dennis in New York next weekend, hey just like Bugsy!!!

I'll be going to most of the Festivals around Wisconsin. Most of them are going to be free for me, that's the only way that'll I'll be able to see so many

I'm planning to see Journey (at the cornfield County Fair), Rush, Gin Blossoms, Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, maybe Nickelback & 3 Doors Down. .38 Special is playing by my house, I might see them. REO is playing (WI State Fair) again and again and again, I hope to never see them again. Kevin Cronin, talks and talks and talks, even more than me- LOL My Mom wants me to take her to see Jessica Simpson at Summerfest - Egad!!!

I hope Night Ranger, Honeymoon Suite or Loverboy comes to town. I have seen the first 2 in quite a while. I had a GREAT time seeing Loverboy last summer (at the zoo-LOL). I talked with the band for over 1/2 hour after the show. What a great group of guys, they were so nice, friendly and fun.

Yogi - I would LOVE to see Rik Emmitt!! I heard his show his great!! I saw Triumph a looooooooong time ago and blown away from Rik's singing and playing. He was just in town a couple years ago, but I think I was at a different concert the same night, I was so bummed!!

Suite, thanks for the Simon and Garfunkel in Texas info.

Looks like you will have a busy concert summer yourself. Enjoy.

Firehouse is looking like a strong possibility as a free show. Anyone seen them lately, and if so , how are they now?

Simon & Garfunkel is being considered more and more. That may depend if my company gets the suite at the venue this year. 8)
